We’ll “git ‘er done” if she says the word.

It was ultra folksy, and there ain’t a damn thing wrong with that.

Not only is there not a damn thing wrong with it, we need more conservatives speaking out as Sarah Palin does, down to earth. It not only ticks off the leftist liberal socialists but it ticks off the GOPe as well and that's as important, maybe more so.

Thanks for the ping, KC.

At one point, Palin reached under the podium and pulled out a Big Gulp and began drinking from it onstage.

I lol and lol and lol at this, especially when I saw the pic. She's wonderful. The quip about background checks also had me in stitches and was priceless. To Hell with RINO fossils!

Yes, it is. She wears it most of the time. She is an ardent supporter of Israel. She also has an Israeli/USA flag pin she wears frequently, in case people have any doubt about her opinion on Israel’s right to exist as a nation.

Mockery works. We need to all use it whenever the opportunity arises. Because lets face it. You can’t have a meaningful discussion with a leftist. GOP, Dem or Indy flavor.

I don't believe that statement “ultra folksy” has been used to describe another conservative? Have you?

I'm with ya on that bro! And notice in the fifth paragraph where the writer says:

"...the entire crowd surged for the first of many times"

I can't remember when other conservative crowds were ever reported as "surging".......

Damn "The Blaze", this was definitely another Neo-con hit piece!

It not only ticks off the leftist liberal socialists but it ticks off the GOPe as well

I love that part!

Also like this quote from Ted Cruz in his introduction of Sarah:

“The mainstream media wants us to be timid and hide in a corner. And the mainstream media is absolutely convinced that women cannot be conservatives, and if they are, they especially cannot shoot really big guns and hunt grizzly bears,” Cruz said. “That’s why Governor Sarah Palin drives the mainstream media batcrap crazy.”

LOL!!!

I'm going to jump right in where angels fear to tread and ask how many people saw her speech that prior to seeing it were uninspired and ambivalent about conservatism? That number is probably close to zero. Closed fishbowl preaching to the choir type speeches are great if your primary purpose is attract potential donors, but that's about it. The people who needed to hear Sarah never will. She needs to create a message without all the oblique red neck humor and party insider references and go to the people. Paid commercials on black and spanish tv. Radio spots on the same, with a crystal clear message that Obama is a liar, and what destruction he intents to inflict, and how the working class poor are being used as pawns in a deadly political battle. Lay the cards out. Going straight for the Bamster’s core constituency would alarm him greatly, because it's a tactic he understands... e.g. community organizing. She's raising money yes, but for what? Cheesy tv spots just months before some nobody challenges a deeply entrenched encumbant? Sowing the seeds where they need to grow now is the way to go.

One more thing to be angry at McCain about. He grabbed her as his VP candidate before she was ready. In 2012, she would have been a sitting governor for 6 years, with solid experience as an executive, and would likely have run away with the nomination in her own right.

Libertarians ALWAYS take issue with true Conservatives....you have a right to crack use, you have a Right to sex deviation, etc. NO LAWS, just "Freedom".

They bitch that "big corporations" move their jobs overseas, yet don't recognize that Unions drove themselves out of jobs with outrageous benefits, wages, and ULTRA-High-Paid Union bosses, where a corporation could not survive in the marketplace without reality striking....Now, the Public Sector is the sinkhole where Unionization has priced us into unprecedented bloated job-creation, for even MORE Government, and We The People are not represented at all in our Hand-Picked Elite choice of replacement power-grabbers for the future.

Likewise, "no more wars", and thinking those whose "Religion" REQUIRES that they "destroy the infidels" is somehow disregarded, because the "War on Terror creates more terrorists". Does a war on Criminal Activity create more criminals, in your goofy Anarchy-supportive Libertarian mind, too?

I’m sure as one PDSer has says often, they all wish she’d go make’em a sammich.

That she IS doing something other than what the GOP wants is their main problem. And God knows what the modern incarnation of the GOP wants is 100% off what we actually need done.

It’s funny (read: Pathetic) that so many of the people haunting conservative forums bitch about her, but when you get right down to it, they ‘claim’ to agree with the positions she takes.
In any normal environment, such people would be laughed at and rightly thought daft. I mean really. What sense is there in agreeing with the message and railing the messenger? Sounds like someone that never left High School.

The guy that does the “Liberal Logic 101” memes ought to turn his attention to the idiots we have on our own side of the fence. Because they deserve it.

Her endorsement got Cruz elected, and how many other Tea Party candidates?

She has as good a batting average as anyone. She is the best at firing up the base. Now all we need to do is convince her to run.

Interesting thought.....Given the way the she's been piled upon by them- that it might have been a pre-emptive strike by the moss-covered wing of the Gop-e?

"We don't need to re-brand the party, we need to re-build the country."

This and many lines about leadership, makes worthwhile listening to this again.

Sadly, instead of leadership, we have timidity on the part of the GOP in congress, except for a few individuals like Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

Her instincts are exquisite Imagine what a fantastic RNC spokesperson she’d be? The left couldn’t help themselves but put her on. They would do everything they could to marginalize her but the constant exposure would lay bare their lies. She would resonate with a majority (silent) conservative country thirsting for leadership. It has been a desert for too long. And with the left? Well, she’d resonate there too ... like Slim Whitman did with the Martians!

I did notice. I’m sure there was one there, but she seemed unscripted for the most part. I’m sure she had a written speech and a transcript will show up at some point. She has such a natural way about her, it’s hard to tell if she is using a teleprompter even if she is!

I went there as a young man, on my own. Actually got a “tour” inside the Dome of the Rock. Lived on a Kibbutz for a couple of weeks up in the Golan region, got homesick, and left. Beautiful place. Misty blue mountains in the moonlight, Israeli jets flying overhead, a soldier on a bus expressing his pride in how they had transformed the country from a desert to a garden. Many wonderful memories.

Did she just bitch or offer solutions?

Did you want her to give an Obama style State-Of-The-Union check list of detailed but empty promises to every identy group out there?

In only 30 minutes?

I think she did a good job of offering a some big ideas and general principles to guide conservatives in their conduct and governance.

Stick to conservative principles

Rebuild the middle class

There are no Hispanic issues, or African American issues, or women’s issues. There are only American issues

We’re not here to abandon our principles in a contest of government giveaways, that’s a game we’ll never ever win.

She only had 20-30 minutes, it’s not like she’s was gonna give a wonky dissertation....if you want that, go to CATO or Heritage.

Loved how Cruz gave props to Sarah. I call that another kudo to her conservative gravitas.

Let’s be honest, with the exception of Brietbart and Palin, who else in the conservative side has the onions to pull off that Big Gulp site gag?

Could you imagine Mitt doing that on the campaign trail? Ah heck no!!!!

Much like Brietbart, Palin “gets it” on the pop culture front. The GOPe thinks that a big-check ad campaign is all they need.

The GOP today wants one thing. Liberalism. We see it every time they capitulate. Bhoner, McCain, Mitch, Little Lord Lindsay all rush to the nearest microphone and cannot ‘moderate fast enough.

Anyone who still supports them is a fool, but also a danger to America. How can I say that? Simple. When one empowers the people helping to install liberalism in place of the constitution, they sure as hell are not defending the constitution.

People get all uberpatriot when I say that but too damn bad. People helping leftists are leftists regardless of who they play on Free Republic. Palin has a podium and a message. That message is well over 95% conservative. And NONE of the rest is outright contrary to traditional conservatism.

The other thread devolved into potshots at her ‘screechy/ditzy/valley girl” voice. Yet again we see a positive Palin thread derailed. NOTHING she says or how she says it can be allowed without some PDSer doing their best, in snide comments or ‘helpful suggestions’, to ensure people cannot coalesce around what she actually says.

Same xhit, different day.

Sarah’s “Rebuild the middle class” would have meant something if she added ‘by stop exporting their jobs’ or something specific. If she is just another Romney who wanted to skate by with ‘I know how to create jobs’, she adds nothing. Show us the beef.
