Pam Geller: CPAC board member is “worse” than Anwar al-Awlaki
Salon ^ | Mar. 16, 2013 | Alex Seitz-Wald

Posted on 03/16/2013 1:34:45 PM PDT by AuntB

Anti-Muslim activist and blogger Pam Geller said Saturday at a CPAC panel of rouge conservative activists that a board member of the group that puts on the annual conservative conference is worse than a terrorist killed by an American drone strike in Yemen.

Geller said the reason she and the other panelists — including fellow anti-Muslim activists Frank Gaffney and Robert Spencer — were barred from CPAC because of the nefarious influence of board members Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan.

The three anti-Muslim activists have for years accused Gaffney and Khan of being members of the Muslim Brotherhood and secret Islamist agents, but Geller took her rhetoric against Khan, a Republican consultant and former Bush White House official, to new heights today.

“Am I saying that Suhail Khan is as bad as Awlaki? He’s worse!” she said, referring to Anwar al-Awlaki, the American citizen jihadi who was killed by a U.S. drone strike in 2011.

She added that it was a “crime” that she and the others panelists were not invited to CPAC, warning that the snub is a threat to the freedom of speech. “Free men will have to resort to violence in the absence of the freedom of speech,” she added darkly.

Spencer had his own anti-Khan tirade, encouraging activist in the room to “go find him and take your picture with him.”

Gaffney called Khan a “prince of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

Gaffney was disinvited from CPAC several years ago and the entire board of the American Conservative Union, which organizes CPAC, passed a unanimous resolution condemning Gaffney’s baseless attacks on Khan and Norquist. Geller said she was disinvited this year.

"The anti-Muslim blogger takes on one of her own at a panel of "uninvited" activists at CPAC "

Salon, of course has to call anyone talking about radical Islam as being 'anti Islam', just like CPAC calls anyone not interested in AMNESTY for all is 'anti-immigrant'..

Another article talking about this ‘uninvited panel’ at CPAC, introduced by Rep. Steve King.

[snip]“Though, for the most part, the fringiest conservatives were shut out of CPAC this year, one unofficial panel hosted by Breitbart.com did not disappoint, bringing out “The Uninvited” anti-Islam activists for a panel on national security. Speaking to a packed room, Pamela Geller, Frank Gaffney, and former Attorney General Michael Mukasey, talked of the Muslim Brotherhood’s infiltration of America, and, more imminently, of the CPAC conference.

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, who introduced the panel on Saturday and called the speakers “the world experts on global jihad,” bemoaned that the FBI has “scrubbed out” derogatory references to Islam or Muslims because their Muslim advisers told them they had to. He also couldn’t pass up the opportunity to talk illegal immigrants, who he called “undocumented Democrats.

Robert Spencer, the blogger for Jihad Watch, got a standing ovation for tying both Grover Norquist, who is married to a Muslim woman, and ex-Bush staffer and CPAC board member Suhail Khan, who is Muslim, to the Muslim Brotherhood. “What I do know is that they’re completely in bed with the same people Barack Obama is listening to to draft the entire foreign policy of the United States and domestic policy as well.”

Spencer added that Norquist “is the one who made it so that Pamela Geller and I are on this panel called ‘The Uninvited.’”She also took a shot at Khan: “Suhail Khan is worse than Anwar al Awaki” because “look what’s he’s done to this conference.”

Frank Gaffney, who was banned from the conference several years ago, said that Khan “was recruited to the Muslim Brotherhood” when in college. “He is a prince of the Muslim Brotherhood.”

After the panel, Robert Spencer told Salon that “Islamophobia is a concept manufactured by the Muslim Brotherhood in order to intimidate people into being afraid to resist Islamic supremacism.””

YES, Gaffney is one of the good guys...this is a mistake by Salon! Wow, I missed that! NOT GOOD. I tried to find other sources for this story, sadly Salon was the only one.

This line in the article by SALON is WRONG!

“The three anti-Muslim activists have for years accused Gaffney and Khan”

Should read: The three anti-Muslim activists have for years accused NORQUIST and Khan

Frank Gaffney is not going to be happy when he sees that! lol

I have a feeling they meant Nordquist instead of Gaffney.

You beat me to it. If I learned anything in the public school system of the 50’s, it was how to spell correctly.

Terrorism from radical islam is a reality in many parts of the world. Many people are currently suffering as a result of losing their loved ones, or themselves getting maimed as a result of jihad. The liberal response to anyone who speaks up about this is to call these individuals “anti-muslim”. Salon, it appears, is on the side of the violent jihadis.

She wasn’t invited. Brietbart put the panel together.
