SOS at CPAC: "Where's Admiral Gaouette?" and the "Benghazi CBA"
INN ^ | 3//16/13 | Mark Langfan, at CPAC

Posted on 03/17/2013 12:09:38 AM PDT by Nachum

"SOS" is a naval emergency distress call meaning "Save our Ship", but at the CPAC, (Conservative Political Action Committee) convention, "SOS" stands for SpecialOperationsSpeaks.com, a new organization of former US Special Ops officers who are issuing distress calls about urgent high-profile questions, and critical unanswered mysteries about the 2012 Obama Benghazi debacle.

CAPT Larry Bailey, USN (Ret.), a former senior SEAL commander and co-founder of Special Operation Speaks, demands to know, "Where the heck is Admiral Gaouette?" ADM Gaouette was the commander of the USS Stennis Carrier Strike Group on station in the Persian Gulf area who was mysteriously summarily stripped of his command during the attack in Benghazi, Libya, in which Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were murdered.

Several days afterward, it was reported that ADM Gaouette was summarily relieved of his command during a major operational contingency event during the Benghazi attacks for the alleged claim of "inappropriate leadership judgment." ADM Gaouette's detention and total disappearance weeks before the November 2012 presidential election was a story that CAPT Bailey says "disappeared into a black hole of silence."

Didn’t Gaouette serve under a European command headed by Adm Sam Locklear? We need to get answers from him, too....
Oh, yeah...he’s in the Pacific these days, worrying abt global warming.

During Watergate, the press use to yammer on about “it’s not the crime, it’s the coverup”. With Benghazi-gate, the press is now assisting with the coverup. How does the truth ever get out?

Travis McGee brought up the “cross border authority” issue within hours of the 9/11 Benghazi attack/murders, if I remember right. That’s definitely a detail that needs to be clarified.

ADM Gaouette was the commander of the USS Stennis Carrier Strike Group on station in the Persian Gulf area

Stennis was enroute, but not yet on station. She was in port in Thailand when the Admiral was relieved. CAPT Bailey knows this. Nothing to do with Benghazi.

Apparently they caught the person who masterminded the attacks. 25 bucks says the administration says he confessed that the attack was because of the video.

I believe you are referring to GEN Carter Ham, who was the AFRICOM commander at the time. Speculation is that he was spinning up the rescue attempt in defiance of orders from Panetta to stand down and was summarily relieved. Ham was nearing mandatory retirement anyway and was due to step down, which gives Obama and Panetta cover. He should be brought before committee to confirm or deny the rescue attempt and the details, if applicable.

Wow...I guess the administration has once again covered its tracks...Kinda like the same way they did with all the bullshit mis and dis-information on the whole DHS MRAP purchases...

So many people seemed to know from what was posteed and reported out there, that no one seemed to think about calling their elected officials to ask about what the truth was...

But, then again , that is obviously a stupid move on anyones part to do that...Who in D.C. would tell the truth, much care what that may be...

Carrier group in question out of position, Admiral in charge relieved before Bengazi developed, General relieved because he was due to retire, but apparently he had troops on a transport ready to go to the aid of these Americans under attack...Video the reason the mooslims were pizzed in the first place, Obama didn’t answer that call at 3am, Hillary was blitzed again from the bar on her state department jet...She’s such a happy drunk...

In the mean time, 4 Americans, one our top diplomat was murdered and nothing haas been resolved from such an act of war...

Nothing to see here people, move along...Move along...

I guess it is just too hard a thing to imagine that we could ever get to the bottom of this, regardless of all the bullshit flying around out there...

And look who benefits from all this crap...Ohhhh, do I have to speel dat wun out as weel???

/sarc

What burns me the most, is that there are some out there, even here, that would by that line of bullshit that a senior commander, who may be close to retirement, cannot make good command decisions based upon strategic and tactical policies, and the events that would spur prudent actions in compliance with established rules of engagement...

Never in my military career have I ever heard of a flag officer in any branch, ever get summarily removed from command for reasons or conditions like this, much less two...However squeued the timeline or positions of tangible assets were at the time...

There were accounts of General Ham being relieved but, I believe, he is still the commandant of Africom.

I don’t know where all the buzz arose at the time of the attack. It sounded reasonable to me that BO would relieve anyone who spoke up against him. Now we know, the CinC wasn’t present when the attacks were going on....nor after, as he was in LV.

An acquaintance of mine is a retired NCIS investigator. Around the time of Gaouette's disappearance and the mass firings of general and flag officers, he contacted his friends who were still working. They not only clammed up but told him in no uncertain terms not to ask about the incident.

His take is that there was a "Seven Days in May" situation that was broken up. My own take is that what happened to Petraeus is connected to it.
