Skip to comments.Report: Fort Bend tea party chief had ties to fascists
Posted on 03/19/2013 9:56:08 AM PDT by OKRA2012
As recently as 2003, the president of the Greater Fort Bend County Tea Party had a very different title: director of propaganda for the American Fascist Party.

Yawn. How many in the Obama administration have ties to Communist organizations.
Nice job of vetting Dan!
And how many Obama minions are currently members of communist or the moslem brotherhood organizations?
“An image of Ives in what appears to be a black uniform with yellow shoulder patches can be seen in a 2006 promotional video for the party.”
“Ives said he had never seen the 2006 promotional video and did not participate in its production; while a photograph of him appears at the 36-second mark, and is the screencap for the online clip, he said the uniform was Photoshopped onto him.”
Well of course it was Photoshopped.
It seems to me that this should not be a big shock to anyone. The tea party movement is not an organized political party. As far as I can tell those who are motivated by government overreached have agreed to come together for various activities (including voting and supporting candidates). Since anyone can join why would it be shocking to find the occasional nut job.
What I know for a fact is that the dimmy senator from West Virginia was a known head of the KKK and it didn’t seem to bother the lefties
I’m glad that the MSM has finally moved on from investigating Joe the Plumber’s trade license and the DNA of Palin’s Down Syndrome child.....
I guess that makes it ok, then. /s
“Nice job of vetting Dan!”
It could be that Dan’s office does not have access to the Google.
The president of the United States -- yawn. Probably nothing interesting in his past. Let's not look. Let's not ask questions. At this point, what difference would it make?
He had ties to the Obama admnistration?
I heard that Obama has ties to Bill Ayers and to Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
This is why I’ve avoided becoming involved with any organized tea party groups aside from attending tea party express events in my area. Organization provides targets.
My neighbors and I can be tea party minded folks without organizational structure. We just meet for breakfast at a diner when we happen to gather there.
What? Some county party hack vs the Executive Branch of the Federal Government?
It is ok, then. Thank you for my dose of FR relativism. My eyes are now open.
It’s hard being Dan Patrick.
Witch hunts occasionally turn up witches. Run him out on a rail.
Didn’t say that...I just question why the media isn’t as diligent after going after those who actually have some influence over our lives.
We all know the answer to that question.
I don’t know what the heck is wrong with other commentators who are playing the “tu quoque” card.
He needs to step down or be forced out. Period. Stuff like this only adds credence to the Left’s narrative.
Nevertheless, we have a president with strong ties to radical leftism who has appointed admitted commies to his admin (Van Jones), and the media gets their noses out of joint about the possibility that some fascist nitwit might have infiltrated a local Tea Party outfit. Once again, hypocrisy rears its ugly, leftist head.
It is neither illegal to be a member of the Fascist or Communist Party in the US. So all things being equal one achieved his position without people knowing his background and others achieved their positions after intensive background checks. That is a dose of FR relativism.
No it is not, but thanks. (I don’t think you understand “relativism,” or what constitutes a “relativistic” argument).
What, the Tea Party guy had ties to the Obama administration? They’re the only fascists that I am aware of. Yeah, I am sure that there are some Republicans involved, but the Obama administration is running the current fascist regime.
American Fascist Party?
Have NEVER heard ot it!
I just looked it up and there is no such thing as the American Fascist Party. Some liberal writers have been trying to say that the American Fascist Party is a group who advocated a military take over of the government to crush the Greens and radical anti-war groups. Their definition of fascism has nothing to do with our definition of fascism.
You misspelled SOLID history with the KKK.
“Nice job of vetting Dan!”
Didn’t Dan Patrick have a convicted PEDOPHILE named Jon Matthews working full time for his radio station some time back?
Sounds awfully familiar to the smears they tried on Palin with the Alaskan Independence Party.
I am wondering how many members of CPUSA (Communist Party USA), OFA (Organizing For America), OWS (Occupy Wall Street) and other Socialist organizations are working for the HOUSTON CHRONICLE?
Meet Emily Ranshaw of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE:
But asre they claiming to be Tea Party members?
This is the perfect illustration of why I shy from organized Tea Party organizations.
Horrors! MSNBC was RIGHT! They are all neo-nazis -—More MSM using there bully pulpit to spread their lies.
I did a quickie Internet search and found no references to an “American Fascist Party.” Could this be a hoax or some sort of disinformation or “black propaganda” scheme?
