Just hours after an explosion killed seven Marines in his home state, Nevada Sen. Harry Reid used the fatal training accident as an opportunity to talk about the potential impact of the sequester on military readiness.
The Senate Democratic leader initially took to the floor Tuesday to mourn the deaths of the seven Marines, killed during a training exercise at Hawthorne Army Depot in Nevada.
“My thoughts are with those who are injured and of course the families of those who lost loved ones,” Reid said.
But then, after explaining that the Marines were at the depot for training, Reid went on to use the tragedy as a segue to talk about the importance of canceling the automatic budget cuts known as sequester.

Mark Levin slammed Reid yesterday for walking over the dead bodies of the Marines to further the Democrats political agenda.
Of course, he just couldn't bring himself to say "my prayers are for those..."

Conservative talk radio host Mark Levin on Tuesday absolutely excoriated Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) for implying on the Senate floor that the sequester was connected to the death of seven Marines at the Hawthorne, Nevada, Army depot earlier in the day.

One of the creepiest moments in the life of a grunt is the moment you hear someone planning you doing something, where some of you are almost certain to die.
And then you realize, these people are perfectly willing to kill you for the slightest political benefit. Our sociopathic liar government only sees your death as a political event, to either be hidden or exploited as their situation calls for.
Harry just gave us another example.
If you read the original documents through out the 20th century you will find repeated mentions of injuries and death from training accidents. The bigger the weapon the more serious the injuries.
My heart and prayers go out to the Marines that were killed and injured.
My contempt goes out to Mr Reid and his fellow dimocrats.

Incompetence killed those Marines. All but the 2 operating the mortar should have been in a safe zone.

So, from this point in time forward, My FRiend, only be surprised when a Democrat does something good and decent.
They are certainly proud of their military there. I love the little park in the town with welded art out of old bombs (or maybe external fuel tanks - can't remember). There's even a AAA gun for the kids to play on.
