I may be mistaken... But why can’t the state offer a deal at any time right up to before the actual trial?

They can but why would Zimmerman even consider it.

The state has no case — period.

For 6 months the defense had been asking the prosecution for the hospital records of Witness 8 — and the night before they are to go to court on the Motion the state admits there aren’t any thus destroying the credibility of the state’s only witness and the state’s case.

They are just dragging this thing out hoping by some miracle that some witness will agree to commit blatant perjury for the benefit of the state — but it ain’t gonna happen.

The defense has laid a trail of Motions that document prosecutorial misconduct and grounds for an appeal if one is necessary.

And we haven’t even gotten to the phone data yet and what the prosecution has done with it.

It isn’t the defense that is worried about the next shoe to drop. It’s the prosecution and its surrogates.

At the next hearing BDLR will probably be wearing Depends.
