PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) - Don Cheadle made a brief stop in Plainview Tuesday and Wednesday to film part of a documentary focused on climate change. The eight-part documentary, which will air later this year on Showtime is called Years of Living Dangerously and features Don Cheadle along with Alec Baldwin, Matt Damon and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Plainview portion of the documentary will focus on the recent drought, which led to the Cargill plant closure and the effect it's having on the city of Plainview.
Cheadle interviewed Katharine Hayhoe, director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University and Associate Professor of Political Science as well as the mayor of Plainview. The interviews lasted for 3 hours inside the Broadway Brew Coffeehouse and employees were glad to host Cheadle.

Globull what? Is algore funding this? Real brilliant folks appearing in it as well. Combined IQ of, what, 37 or so. All well studied in the sciences. I forgot which ones have the PhD’s. Hey asshats! It’s called weather. Surprised that it’s not always 72 degrees and 52% rh and has been for thousands of years? Well, it hasn’t. Do they think there were giant redwoods 5000 years ago as well?
I wanted to cancel Showtime last year but the kid on the phone gave us a year of it for $1 per month - then we got hooked on the Borgias, and the new season starts in April.
Wondeful lineup. A BlackActivist, a Leftist moron, an immigrant Kennedy, and of course "MAAAAAAATTTT DAAAAAAAAAMONNN!"
Thanks for the heads-up so I can cancel Showtime immediately!
Yet these asshat stars and producers will affect the attitudes of the “low information” class.
I asked the wife to cancel Showtime after they ran Oliver Stone’s commie-loving documentary. She said we couldn’t cancel yet because of some long-term deal we had with our cable provider. About the only thing I’ve ever watched on Showtime is Penn and Teller. That’s the only program on Showtime I’d miss. And they haven’t had any on this season.
Why would the director of the “Climate Science Center” be an associate professor of “Political Science”?
Does that not show that “Climate Change” is really a political argument rather than scientifically based?
My alma mater (TTU 1978), is not making me proud with this one!
Documentary focused on climate change, eh?
Sounds like it’ll have as much truth in it as did that ugly fat smelly Michael Moore’s documentaries did.
But, that hasn't stopped the socialists from blaming "globull warming".
Cheadle is a liberal clown...someone want to see how he lives? Go to this web site: http://virtualglobetrotting.com/map/don-cheadles-house/
You’ll see Cheadle’s million dollar home...I bet he leaves a big carbon footprint.
Stopped reading at “Alec Baldw...”
TTU has their fair share of grant whores, like so many universities. There is a lot of very good, real research at teh university, but we also have our PC-ridden propogandists. At least the petroleum engineering department is getting a large, new research lab! :-)
Yeah, he is a real intellectual heavyweight, no? Well, he is a heavyweight...
