OKLAHOMA CITY -- The federal government has informed Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John Doak that it intends to take over swaths of insurance regulation in the state to ensure compliance with the Affordable Care Act commonly known as Obamacare.
The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is notifying insurers in Oklahoma that it will handle enforcement of the ACA. In a March 15 letter to Doak, the agency notified the Insurance Department of its responsibility to enforce the ACA in Oklahoma because the state has declined to do so. Should Oklahoma enactmarket reform requirements, according to the letter, the federal government will consider transitioning regulations to the state.

How much coercion and intimidation from the feds will the states put up with?
Feds: We WILL make you swallow this pill.
Doak: You and what army?
Now we know why DHS is buying up hollow-point bullets and assault weapons...
Things are definitely heating up.
I stand with Oklahoma, a state that is daring to remain American. The Federal Government? For the People By The People....not Hitler's Germany. Take Action Freepers!
It used to be “The British are Coming” now it’s “The Feds are Coming”
Now we know why all the gun & ammo purchases.
Gee. Hollow point bullets and assault weapons are sure-fire “health” care. \s
Shoot the whites of their eyes out!
This will be interesting.
Death panels, just as prescribed in Obamacare...
We the people of Oklahoma voted to opt-out of 0care by a huger percentage.
Gee I wonder how many NEW Federal employees the HHS will now have an excuse to add to 0bama’s civilian army?
I hope OK tells them to F off. NY doesn’t have the politicians with balls to do that. They’re mostly whiny nanny pant liberals from NYC and the bigger cities upstate that control the legislature here.
Agreed, Ill watch carefully how it plays out. There are lessons for all who would learn.
Or use a grapefruit spoon, I don’t care.
Just the beginning of Obama’s Reich.
If Oklahoma and Texas seceded tomorrow it would not surprise me one bit, and I would CHEER THEM ON.
“I stand with Oklahoma, a state that is daring to remain American. The Federal Government? For the People By The People....not Hitler’s Germany. Take Action Freepers! “
Eventually there will be only one way to defeat the communists empire that is now controlling America. And the first step is to destroy he HHS. Civil war is on it's way.
said it yesterday
Maybe it;s time for states like in the south and most in the modwest and part of inland CA and AK to leave this socialist crap they keep forcing onto us, let them have their illegals, homosexuals, weirdo’s and lay abouts.
They can also take all of their ignorant voters back north too
At this time I doubt that the American Citizens in the State of Oklahoma give a flying rat's azz about sections two thousand seven hundred twenty three and two thousand seven hundred sixty one of forty two usc sections three hundred slash g slash g slash twenty two OR sixty one... of obamacommiecare.
It will prove interesting if the commies actually show up in Oklahoma and attempt to force anyone to do anything.
obama’s million strong civilain security force.
Weird how the GOP never made more of that and how the nedia hushed it up.
How much can states in the south and the midwest and AK take from these people
Cheer them on?
Heck, I’d move.
How many feds would it take to make OK and Tx comply?
More than they’ve got...
I hope other states join in too and if my state does not then I move there.
This is not what the founders thought about.
what homsoexuals being married, drugs galore, no guns, no right to defence, states ruled by the feds, people being forced to acept something in violation of their religion.
The founders fought against all of this.
This is not good for our state.
The health insurance bank accounts come to mind as a way to get them by the short hair.
Time for OK to de-certify any OK state Insurance company that does Obamacare , just as TN has.
Standing as a bulwark of liberty, the Oklahoma House of Representatives passed a bill protecting citizens of the Sooner State from the unconstitutional provisions of ObamaCare.
By a vote of 72-20, the state House of Representatives passed House Bill 1021, a bill that if signed into law would stop the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (known as ObamaCare) at the borders of the sovereign state of Oklahoma.
The bills primary proponent is State Representative Mike Ritze (R-Broken Arrow). A board-certified family practice physician and surgeon, he is particularly aware of the threat to liberty and good health care posed by ObamaCare.
Can’t move right now, but RED STATE is the plan for retirement for sure.
Then treat them with free health care!
Keep moving toward that 1776 moment you Fascist/Nazi democrats.
FUBO, FAD, down with the democrat party
“On 2 August 1934 , Hitler became the dictator of Germany”
He was “the leader of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) until their destruction by Allied Forces in May, 1945.”
Pretty short 1,000 year Reich. As for our Dick-tater want-to-be and his minions, only destruction follows your path.
(needs more stars)
Many, many and more many cops are willing to throw out the constitution. Most of them have no idea what the constitution says. I heard a chief of police say “Our job is to enforce the laws the legislatures pass.” In other words, “We work for the government, not the people”. I wish someone would have asked him “If the government passes a law confiscating all weapons, would you attempt to enforce that law?”
Bottom line: if it comes to “us” vs “them”, the “them” will include a large majority of the cops.
“Bottom line: if it comes to us vs them, the them will include a large majority of the cops.”
So be it.
I doubt that any secession in the strict sense of the word will be necessary.
The more the communists go out of control in the occupied States the more good American Citizens will pack up and leave them in their dust.
The Free States are steadily gaining motivated common sense Americans that do not allow revocation of their rights. They are good solid workers and reliable voters, having already voted with their feet. Same goes with successful businesses.
The Free States will eventually be so successful with their superior population, both economically and in their respect for liberty, there will no longer be a need for secession. They will simply let the communist states crumble into nothingness. The commie occupied states will have "Gone Detroit."
Free states will have gone success.
Think Magpul, Beretta, etc.
Think "Secession by Success!"
The successful respecters of freedom are not limited to the Second Amendment. The more the commies demand control over basic liberties, the more they will eat the dust of successful producers and the weaker the commies become.
Oh, look... it's TEA time.
I agree. It's time we burn down THEIR houses. Effing tyrants!
At some point, the fedgov will be simply unable to force states to comply.
They’ll be too broke and spread too thin and the states will just thumb their noses at them.
Well....since our taxes pay their salaries....
the answer and solution to this (yet more) Big Government Tyranny should be obvious. And if that doesn’t work....
there is always another rather obvious solution. And it looks like it’s coming down to that alternative even sooner than we thought.
Only partially. Remember 40% is created out of thin air by the magic of Bernanke/Lew.
understand the sentiment but slavery is too attached to this flag.
better to ressurect the stars in a circle pattern on the blue, or the gadsden with stars in a circle.
Well now, Alrighty Then!
I don’t see Sen Tom Coburn’s constituents rolling over and saying, “Please Sir, may I have another.”
Obama’s minions should have picked an easier nut to crack, since it’s obvious they’re planning to make this a show of strength.
Understood .. flag’s negotiable, freedom’s not
If the states won’t do it, the people can.
