“The Free States will eventually be so successful with their superior population, both economically and in their respect for liberty, there will no longer be a need for secession. They will simply let the communist states crumble into nothingness. The commie occupied states will have ‘Gone Detroit.’”

That, is my fondest wish, too. Well said!

I don’t know. The high water mark is the Confederacy’s 250,000 or so deaths out of a population of 9 million or so, not counting slaves. To answer your question, then, the states will take a lot.

I hope OK tells them to F off.

In order to do this. Oklahoma has to immediately stop taking state welfare. If they do this, then they can survive telling the feds to F off. If they can’t survive without the federal government, then the government will continue forcing anything they can on the states. States need to figure out how to survive on their own.

That is a myth. Perhaps federal law enforcement will side the government. State and local far less likely. I spent 26 years as a city cop. I can tell you that in my experience, particularly in the West and the South, few local law enforcement officers have any love for the feds. In point of fact, my state representative group recently voted unanimously, to direct our lobbyists in D.C. to oppose any gun control measures except those designed to limit the power of the executive. In the state legislature, I only last week put together a position paper on behalf of my two representative groups, supporting a bill designed to nullify any gun control measures issued by the Executive office and to require the State AG or Governor to file suit over the same. No....not all law enforcement stands with the fed....

By a vote of 72-20, the state House of Representatives passed House Bill 1021, a bill that if signed into law would stop the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (known as ObamaCare) at the borders of the sovereign state of Oklahoma.

I would call that a mandate. OK won.

What are you even talking about? Surely “free states” can outperform Michigan, California, and other deadbeats. But we’re all under the thumb of the same national government. What you’d be seceding from, if at all, is the feds, not your fellow states. You can’t secede from them through success. Success would merely doom you to bail out less successful states.

The things they buy with thin air money have to be paid for somehow. Higher prices are the tax. Everyone pays it, especially savers.

No way. This article states that Oklahoma has so much money from the Fed that they could NEVER survive on their own. I was surprised by that. I thought only Alaska took a big amount of money from the federal government.

Try it Feds. You want a war between the Fedgov and States, just keep on pushing. With all the States fighting against Fedgov gun laws, how can they not see there is a storm coming?

Oops, forgot, our new Monarch thinks he has all the power. Boy, is he in for rude awakening. The writing is showing up in bold letters on the Wall of Freedom.

This country is on the verge. Call it Civil War II or a Revolutionary War II or States Rights rebellion, but we are quickly heading that way, one way or another - guarantee it.

And no, the military will not attack us. Some of those leaders will be endangered. They would be wise to uphold their Oaths while they still have the opportunity.

While I don't advise nor approve of such, remember how a couple of guys held DC hostage with their murderous shootings for weeks. Lessons are learned by those who pay attention. Think asymmetrical.

The form letter does not bode well for us other states that are attempting to stay independent and exercise our 10th Amendment rights.

It is unbelievable. These federal handlers are used to being told what to do, to telling others what to do, and having them do it, no questions asked. That and general ignorance of our rights (and historical marches to Socialism/Communism) are ripping up America.

A stern letter from the feds will be all that’s needed to keep the states in line. Don’t think the feds won’t march into every state’s department and start arresting those that won’t cooperate. We all know tyrannical governments don’t tolerate competition, or disobedience.

“The feds won’t do their job to rid of us of illegal aliens and here they are sticking their snouts in the States’ business.”

They won’t perform defense as they are required to do, and they do what they should not do. In the first case they are worthless, in the second case they are an enemy.

Weird how the GOP never made more of that and how the nedia hushed it up.Weird how the GOP never made more of that and how the nedia hushed it up.

The GOP is compromised. The Dems have whatever dirt there is on every one of them who has any. Silence is bought with carrots or sticks, but the GOP has managed to cave on virtually every major issue. Even Reid recognized a vote on gun control was more dangerous to the Dem's future and shut Feinstein down (for now) rather than have to face the roll call in the next election. They can't steal all of them, and they remember what the issue did to them last time.

The media are the soft and pretty face of the enemy. It lies without fail, propagandizes the public through "entertainment" and "news", and it omits anything which might reflect badly on the regime, if it doesn't just distract with meaningless sports clashes and endless fluff.

The Governor of that state can call out the guard if he has to to quell that bull**** right now. The feds better bring an army if they try that crap.

understand the sentiment but slavery is too attached to this flag.

Fairness and accuracy would not have had it so, but it is that way in the public psyche.

better to ressurect the stars in a circle pattern on the blue, or the gadsden with stars in a circle.

I agree, though my ancestors fought under the battle flag last time.

I like the Gadsen with an arc of stars around the central device, personally, and think it would not only get the point across and be a banner we can all rally around, but be such without the sociocultural baggage the battle flag has.

I hope you’re right. But what about the guy who posted a picture of his kid on FB holding an “assault” weapon and CPS came calling supported by local cops. They wanted the man’s guns. As I understand he stood his ground and they backed off. This time. But what bothers me is that the cops would even go to the man’s door with a complaint of nothing more than a picture of a kid holding a gun. The cops should have said “Bring us some evidence of that a crime is being committed.”

I just read an article in the Tulsa World about it and the State Regulators don’t intend to defy the Federal action - they just say it’s “inefficient” and will cost the consumer more. That’s as far as they’re going. They don’t say that it’s illegal for the Feds to do what they are doing.

Basically, this is going “nowhere” as far as this issue in Oklahoma is concerned.

Y’all can “stand down” now ... because NOTHING is going on here ... :-)

BUT ... you might contact TEXAS, MISSOURI and WYOMING ... because they got the exact same notification as Oklahoma.

How can the feds afford this with sequestration?

That's because the sequester isn't a cut at all, it's a reduction in increased spending: IOW, it's spending only 8 dollars you don't have instead of 10 and saying that you saved two.
