WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: MY AIDES CAN'T AFFORD GOOD MEALS

Mike Flynn

On Tuesday, FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and her colleague VA Rep. Jim Moran openly whined about the impacts of spending cuts on their personal office budgets. Moran fretted that, with the looming sequester cuts, he may have to cut one staffer from his office. Wasserman Schultz upped his ante, however. She, almost literally, suggested that her staff were on the brink of starvation, due to the cuts.

Speaking at a hearing of the House Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee, Wasserman Schultz worried that prices of meals in House restaurants are getting so high that aides are being "priced out" of a good meal.

At the carry-out cafe in the Cannon Office Building, where Wasserman Schultz has her office, you can get an 8oz bowl of Ham and Bean soup for $2. You can buy gourmet sandwiches and wraps for around $5. Both of these are cheaper than I can get at delis down the street from my house.

Her aides could walk across the street to the Longworth Building, which has a large sit-down cafeteria. Today, it is featuring a roasted stuffed Chicken, with asparagus and mashed potatoes, for around $7. Or, one could opt for a heaping 12oz bowl of Chicken Chili for $3....

Sounds like they can eat better and cheaper there than we can in an oil boom town. Waaaaaaaaah!

Maybe they'll get "Michelle skinny" like all the school kids they want to micromanage at the lunch table.

During my time at the White House and Pentagon, I could’ve had 4-5 gourmet meals a day, free, on lobbyists, even though I had the mess hall and other outlets. I call BS on this nonsense.

Have the staff members draw straws. The one with the short straw will be eaten by the others curing both the starvation and overstaffing problem.

Or maybe the representative could kick in a few bucks to help them out.

But the poor darlings are starving!

Wasserman Schultz's top aide earns around $160k a year. She pays two additional aides around $120k a year. She has five additional aides who earn between $60-100k a year.

The DNC political class lunches on roasted stuffed Chicken, with asparagus and mashed potatoes, for around $7.

While the peasants eat McDonald’s for almost $7.00.

May her staff starve swiftly and painlessly.

Because she doesn't pay them. You do with your taxes (along with borrowed Chinese money and Ben "Inky" Bernanke's funny money).

Ok, then if these people make 2 to 3 X what the average American makes and can not find enough money to find a decent meal, they should be fired for being totally ignorant and unworthy of what they are being paid.

If the Wide-Hipped Witch would just cut her ***Hair Mayonnaise*** Budget in half, that would free-up $5-6,000/mo for the poor, bloated, underworked, fat-assed staff’s 5-course lunches.

And if Moron went into detox/rehab, his ***Office Scotch Budget*** would easily drop $10-13,000/mo. His gold-plated insurance policy should cover the liver transplant, instead of taking it from Office Petty Cash.

Tiny violins. No pity. Lose some weight, you underworked, grosssly-overpaid, do-nothing lardasses.

I have no doubt that this skank Wasserman will see no correlation between her office facing the effects of sequestration “cuts”, and the small business owner who faces “cuts” when he is forced to pay pimple-popping teenager an increased “minimum wage”.

Then give them food stamps.

Can't. They don't qualify, they're paid too much.

Wasserman Schultz's top aide earns around $160k a year. She pays two additional aides around $120k a year. She has five additional aides who earn between $60-100k a year.

Hard to believe how out-of-touch with the American people the (so-called) ‘Party of the People’ can be. Obviously not meant to be read by people saving money, so we can pay our #@*$ing taxes.
Good job Breitbart. The DC swine can do what the rest of us do: make their own damned lunches.

Rand Paul gave $600,000 back to the United States Treasury that would have been spent to run his Office.

He runs a tight ship and doesn't want to WASTE TAXPAYER DOLLARS.

They could fund a whole bunch of White House Tours and pay for Fat Ass Debbie's emaciated Employees to have anything they want off the McDonalds Dollar Menu with the money Senator Rand Paul saved the Taxpayers of this Country.
