Could Jay Leno become a new conservative hero?

In the bitter and gossipy duel between Leno and NBC (the “Tonight Show” host is set to be replaced by Jimmy Fallon, according to reports), some see political fallout in Leno’s fall from grace.

“Left cheering Leno exit typical, he dared to entertain and offer jokes for the other 50% of country. Unacceptable in ‘New America’…” tweeted Matt Drudge this week in the wake of news of Fallon’s ascension.

Fox News’ “The Five” speculated that Leno was suffering for his barbs against President Barack Obama.

“Clearly he pushed it too far,” said Greg Gutfeld said, half joking, on Thursday. “The network will send him to a reeducation camp for required therapy,” adding that Leno should poke more fun at Sarah Palin if he wants to keep his job.

Perhaps conservatives will be cheering when they hear this - Leno could land at Fox.

This from the New York Post on Friday: “The head of Fox’s powerful affiliate board — who represents the majority of the 206 Fox stations around the country, said yesterday he favors building a new late-night show — starting at 11 o’clock — around the departing ‘Tonight Show’ host. ‘If Fox were to present the right business plan, the affiliate board would be interested,’ Steve Pruett, the board chairman, told The Post.”

After seeing Fallon slobber all over Obama I know who I won’t be watching.

His material could get more anti-Obama if he works for Fox, there is definitely an audience for this.

A Socialist characteristic: taking themselves very seriously and not liking divergent views. In the Leftist world, “diversity” (and any and everything else) is only a means of implementing Socialism. Afterwards, “diversity”, etc., is fine as long as it follows the party line.

The telltale sign of those who have gained power by lies and coercion is their fear of "diversity" of thought and ideas. The truth scares them. Why? Because Socialist ideas and societies fair very poorly when tested against sound reason or actual historical record.

Mao is quoted as calling Christians "The enemy without guns." The Constitution, the truth, the Bible, natural law - all are enemies of big government and Socialism.

Jay Leno comes across to me as just a regular guy.

Watched some TV for awhile recently, after not watching for many years. Stayed in a motel for a few weeks with sat TV. My conclusion is that to be a male appearing on any kind of TV show right now, except for reality shows, you have to be gay.

I would wager Leno would beat all comer in total ratings on Fox at 11PM against Letterman, Fallon and Kimmel, and the local station owners know it.

Bet you're right. I won't watch either Fallon or Kimmel -- they're not funny. If Leno got that time slot (don't care on which channel) I'd watch him over any of the other wannabes.
