Police combed a coastal neighborhood of Georgia in search of two suspects from 10 to 15 years, accused of killing a baby and wounding her mother in a robbery attempt.
And on the afternoon of Friday reported the arrest of two suspects aged 14 and 17 years for the vicious crime.

Reading some of the comments on CNN make me sick. They are already blaming the mother for this crime, that the facts are not all in, that this could be a set up. The white woman kills her own child and blames a minority.
Anybody familiar with this area? Is it diverse or would either the white mother or the black kids looked out of place in it? I’m just trying to wrap my head around why kids would kill a baby in front of its mother like that. Even guys who steal cars with babies in them drop the baby off somewhere. I’ve yet to hear of a dead baby when the purpose of the crime was to get money or steal a car. This is just so weird.
With perps that young, I wouldn’t be surprised if they could have been paid to do such a heinous deed. I remember Susan Smith and even tho she didn’t pay to kill her kids, she had no problems blaming blacks and lying about the circumstances. Same thing with the guy in Boston who blamed blacks when he actually killed his pregnant wife. Perhaps this woman thought she would get away with it if she brought in black kids to do the job.

If they had been killed trying to escape from police, I wouldn’t have questioned it.

I did not see a mention of the race of the killers. The baby looks white. Anyone know.
I have been there, it is south of Savannah, it’s where you cross over to St. Simon’ and Jekyll islands. All of coastal Georgia has very large black populations, left over from the planations.

Parents are light-skinned Hispanic. Thugs are both black.
The 17yo has been charged as an adult, and is identified as “De’Marquis Elkins.”

A friend of mine worked in Hawaii against the same sex marriage proposal there in the late nineties. They won that in 1998 and blocked same sex marriage.
Here’s the interesting part. They were looking for what angle would be the most effective campaign on a limited budget.
In their opinion research they asked people about marriage and people said, “not that special or important.” They then asked about protecting womanhood and got the same response.
The final question was on children and that got an overwhelmingly positive response. It was important that children be: 1. protected from deviancy; 2. raised by married people; and 3. who are of the opposite sex.
He said that people no longer believed in marriage as an institution and no longer valued women as any more special than men, but that children were still seen as special and innocent. He then predicted that the Devil would make his next move against children by destroying their innocence and eliminating that final stop.
It’s happening and only 15 short years later.
