New York City health officials are urging some men to get vaccinated against meningitis amid an outbreak that has sickened 22 New Yorkers and killed seven.
The dangerous strain of bacterial meningitis appears to be spreading through sexual encounters between men who meet through websites or smartphone apps, or at bars or parties, according to the Citys health department. More than half of the infected men have had HIV, a virus that attacks the immune system making infections more likely and more severe.
Vaccination is the best defense, City health commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said in a statement. I urge all men who meet these criteria regardless of whether they identify as gay to get vaccinated now and protect themselves from this disease before it is too late.

LOL! He’s too east to lampoon.
One of the absolute funniest movies of all time.
Of course laughing at it now would probably be a hate crime.
Spreading “among blades”. Is that short for gay blades?
Yep, you’re right, the guy probably has his shorts starched and thinks everyone does. LOL!

If CVS tells its employees to stop smoking cigars and cigarettes why cant they tell their employees to stop smoking other cylindrical objects? If they tell their overweight employees they have to slim down by eating less why can’t they tell all of their employees to eat less of everything?
Yes, they still have HIV. And the HIV cure that has been touted for about a dozen adults who received aggressive doses of anti-virals still have it; the difference is that the virus didn’t get as big of a toe-hold at the time of infection, so the body can fight it. Some of these people no longer need retro-virals, but they still carry and can spread the disease.
The only “cure” are the children born virus free to infected mothers and the bone marrow transplant patient who receive marrow from someone with genetic immunity with the virus.
