Thanks I had seen the vote smart page. Had same problem, it was not dated.
I suspect he is still married.
How does that work? Not sure.
By his own admission, he and Upshaw were “girlfriend/boyfriend”.
It is possible his wife had moved out, that the trip to the beach he mentioned made her think he was leaving his wife for her, then he told her he could not leave because of the kids and she shot herself. (sheer speculation, no factual support)
Police do not voice suspicion at this point. But he is a POL. And this is near New Orleans.
Looked at the elements on the Vote Smart page and it appears come from database. So the only way to determine the date of the data entry would require access to the actual database.
Guess it will come out eventually.

I told hubby all the things Rotenberry said about this maybe suicide. He said it fits the profile of someone who suffers depression and has suicidal thoughts. But it is worth investigating.
