Authorities in Mississippi are investigating after a state lawmaker was found dead in a suspected suicide at the home of a former colleague, according to local officials. Republican Rep. Jessica Upshaw, 53, of the 95th District in Diamondhead, was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the head in the home of former Rep. Clinton Rotenberry. The cause of Upshaw's death is believed to be suicide, but authorities are still awaiting the results of an autopsy.

That's if it's from despair. She may have been angry and determined to send a message to a specific person. Assuming she was going to go to somebody's house to do that she probably wasn't going to down sleeping pills and wait to drift off. If she actually was going to show up at his house, she'd want to do something sudden, violent, and potent emotionally to get the message through.

I don’t normally buy into conspiracy theories, AT ALL.

But earlier today there was a poster called “patriot76” over on another forum who said that an ex-coworker had told him that he (the ex-coworker) had talked to a homeless lady who smokes crack on one of the street corners in Boston, and she used to have a son who lived in Mississippi, except now she thinks he’s in a gutter in New Orleans.

So the crack lady said that Jessica Upshaw was just about to introduce a bill creating a commission to investigate Eric Holder for accepting a $43.5 million bribe from the North Koreans, and Clint Rotenberry was supposed to head up the commission.

She also said something about Jimmy Hoffa having returned for two weeks last year, and having given her the recipe for a revolutionary new cola drink. But that doesn’t really have anything to do with Upshaw.

Anyway, I don’t know. The whole story sounded pretty darn convincing to me.

Patriot76’s post has since disappeared from the web. So I tried pm’ing him over on the other forum, but I haven’t been able to get any answer.

Without knowing this women’s character or her mental state prior to her death, this could very well be true.
