I’m with you. Mexico handles its illegal problem and we don’t. Can’t blame Fox for that and I think many would agree. What if our borders were sealed so WE couldn’t leave? If Fox sticks his nose into our immigration policy, then that is a different matter.
The problem with your major premise is that Mexico isn’t making any effort to respect our territorial sovereignty.
To the contrary, it actively aids and abets, encourages and assists its citizens in breaking our laws.
Why should they stop? They have not and will not make even a single effort to make the lives of their citizens better. They don’t have to as long as the political class in D.C. looks at the illegals as potential voters instead of people breaking the law.

The first exodus occurred around 1960, when the white, European linked, professional class fled from Castro.
They transformed Miami with their business skills and their enterprise.
And they voted overwhelmingly for Republicans.
In the 70’s and 80’s, the Democrats and race baiters constantly complained about the “special” immigration privileges enjoyed by Cubans.
Then, the second exodus began, around 1980.
It took a while for Democrats to catch on, but the second wave of Cubans were almost all unskilled poor Hispanics (plus about 25% criminals getting “early release” from Castro).
The only people who complain about Cuban immigration now are the Democrat race baiters who demand that Black Haitians should get the same privileges as poor Cubans do now.

Mr. Fox is correct that a free country can’t stop their people from leaving if they want. The freedom to leave however does not carry with it the freedom to enter another sovereign country at will. Just as Mexico has the right and responsibility to control entry into their country, so does the United States. Mexico can’t be blamed for our government’s failure to control immigration.
Fox is absolutely right. Why SHOULD he care if his people try to sneak into our country. I wish OUR deadbeats would sneak into Mexico. People go where the money is.

They definitely check for outstanding warrants, or if you are a criminal suspect, or if you are smuggling items in, like guns (I guess drugs only move the other way).
And, you would be arrested if you try to sneak across without a Border Control check.
And, you would be arrested and put in jail by the Mexicans if they find you without proper documentation.
Each year, MILLIONS of Mexicans visit the USA.

No problem with this. We didn’t like it when the East Germans and USSR did their part to prevent “illegal immigration.” People have the right to leave.
They just don’t have the right infiltrate another country unlawfully.

Not all Latins are mexicans....not all are looking for a handout...not all blame the gringo for everything...not all are products of a totally corrupt environment...not all are drug dealers/criminals.
If there is resentment its due to being cast with the mexicans.

I see your point, Mexico certainly doesn’t have to build a wall to keep its citizens in and I suppose we have become reconciled to dealing with the problem ourselves.
But if your next door neighbor raided your fridge, helped himself to your car keys, had friends and relatives living in your guest room and dumped his garbage cans over your fence?
That’s not just irrational behavior, it’s criminal. Mexico is a bad neighbor. Period.
Actually, the answer to that question is yes. If you try to fly out of this country to another country that requires a visa or passport for entry, you cannot get on the plane unless you have the required visa or passport. As far as people coming from Mexico, you are mixing legally and illegally entering the country. Yes, Mexico has a responsibility as a neighbor to help to stop it’s citizens from coming to our country illegally. For those coming legally, there is no problem. As someone else said here, Mexico is a piss poor neighbor who is violating international norms.
