Rep. John Conyers (D- Mich.) told the Detroit branch of the NAACP, the Republican party is fading out of sight almost, so there is really only one major political party of any significance.
Conyers made the comments at the March 12 event while discussing the need to focus on job creation.

Kind of true. The pubbies don’t stabd for anything
In Detroit there is one party. It fubared everything up too.
Sure they do. They stand for being the fifth-column shadow libs, albeit not so much in the shadows anymore.
Conyers thinks it's the Communist Party.
They appear to be synonymous, in this country. After all, the Communist Manifesto lists “win(ning) the battle of democracy” as one of the goals of the Communist Party.
The only other district that might elect this piece of detritus is Maxine Waters’ district in CA. What an embarrassment.
The last time we had one of the major political parties collapse and disappear was when the Whigs dissolved.
Why? Because the Democrats had bound themselves heart and soul to a fundamentally evil idea and the Whigs simply refused to stand up against it.
Which is oddly parallel to the situation we find ourselves in, today.
It is always curious to me that those who detested “the man” and were so pro-”do your own thing” in the late 60’s are now our political leaders and now march virtually goosestep in-line with each other, single file.
They’ve become The Man so many times over.
Fits exactly with the Communist Manifesto’s goal of raising “the proletariat” (in reality the immoral dregs of society) to the level of “ruling class”.
Yeah Conyers the party of crooks, like your wife and Kwame. The party of baby killers. The party of freedom killers. The party of job killers.
Yours is a point well taken.
At the national level, he maybe correct.
The democrat party was “fading away” in 2005 too. Then they retook both houses of congress two years later, then the presidency. Pay this type of rhetoric no mind.
In both cases, liberals were in control.
For the first time inhis life Conyers is right,
The Republicans have self-imolated.
Conyers sho nuff does love da ole slave Demmycrat party.
Conyers is spitting in the wind. Yeah, his Assclown hero won in 2012...but with fewer votes and less acclimation than in 2008.
The 2010 elections were with an engaged and enlightened and energized electorate—and we are ready to do it again in 2014.
Conyers is old school liberal pathetic, and thinks because he has been in Congress since Moses was a baby that the gravy train is never gonna stop.
He is wrong.
I’d have to say, that’s about the first time I’ve ever heard Conyers say something with which I agree. The GOP hasn’t given me much reason lately to argue against it.
yes there is a majority of low information morons here in Michigan
I think he’s talking about the party that runs the “education system” the courts, the police, all the departments of the executive branches, the entertainment industry and the “news”.
I agree with Conyers on this. The republicans as a party are nothing but losers. The leadership refuse to stand on conservative values. This is weakness at it’s extreme.
Basically, he’s correct.
Conyers is married to a convicted ex-Detroit councilwoman who took bribes and stole money from the citizens of Detroit and the State of Michigan. Gives him a lot of credibility to talk about the plight of Deroiters.
This old scumbag has got to go.
TRANSLATION: “This corrupt mess is the Demorat’s doing because the RINOs have no power.”
I listened to conservative radio commentators-preachers back in the 1970’s and one of them highlighted the most left-leaning members of Congress like Ron “Red” Dellums and good old Mr. Conyers.
Conyers was noted in the 90’s as being upset with Waco and Ruby Ridge, but his motive was sheer hatred of the FBI for going after Communists back in the 1940’s and 50’s.
this guy has to be on crack - really
We need a GOP who will support American production.
Bring back US jobs.
For all of Rick Snyder’s faults, (and he has plenty) he is attracting money to Detroit and Michigan.
I just wish he was as friendly to good old American Manufacturing is he is to tech. If I were him, I’d be all over those east coast gun manufacturers trying to survive in a hostile environment.
If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for anything - Republican operating procedure
