The Jury is out on Cruz.
He is doing a stellar job so far, and I voted and voted and voted to get him to DC.
I pray he does not get Potomac fever.
I agree on Dewhurst; the guy is a turd and thankfully, Texans rejected him and elected Cruz. But Perry’s pandering to ILLEGAL aliens proves he isn’t as altruistic as your pretend. Offering instate tuition to ILLEGAL alien Mexicans was pandering to people, just the wrong people.
I give Cruz an A thus far. I hope and think he sees that there is a large number of conservative Americans who need him to represent them. Yes, he is your senator. But his votes affect us all. A simple fact that escaped Mr. Perry.
Perry could not veto the bill, and it was only passed to relieve the burden on Texas tax payers in the long run.
The Fed says we have to educate them K-12 and we can’t deport them.
Tx lawmakers said why not make them productive members of society if we can not remove them?

You make my point with that statement. Perry and those in the TX legislature raised the white flag. How is that any different from McCain, Graham and other RINO turds doing the same with their amnesty? It's not and you know it. Using your/Perry's "logic", we should make them citizens because we want them to be "productive members of society".

I loved the way Cruz handled Feinstein. Interestingly, liberals in my family thought she bested Cruz. Sure thing. When he pointed out that she still had not answered he won, even if she did eventually respond.

There is no defense for a "conservative" to take that position. Like I said, they did the same thing in CA and ALL conservatives condemn it. I think Perry was making the point very well, that the issue starts in DC and that border states have their hands tied by DC.
