Contemplating Gay Marriage on Holy Week
Self | 3/26/2013 5:40AM | Self

Today the U.S. Supreme Court begins to decide if the people of California were wrong to decide that marriage is between a man and a woman. It also begins arguments that the people, through the Federal Government, could were wrong also.

Interesting that this is beginning on Holy Week, when we remember when the Lord went to the Cross to pay for the sins of folks like us. All we, are truly going 'Astray' like sheep.

In this case, in a bad way.

Who cares for the will of the people, perhaps a dictatorship, or communist overlords will be appropriate for these people?

If we are to survive as a nation, as a people, we must return to God. The further we stray, the harder it is to turn course. Some say the end times are here. I pray a lot for strength and guidance as we are mirrored in these times of the devil. There is no other way to explain it. Man is not more knowing that God. I think people who rule over us have left God. To hold these sessions through Holy week is terribly wrong though seems intentionally planned. They don’t consider all faiths, respect our freedom to believe in our faith, do they.

Christianity is under attack by muslims - foreign and domestic. The Obama Muslim Administration (OMA) represents domestic muslims.

Not sure if it was intentionally planned, but the timing is very interesting. Perhaps the Lord is giving a stern warning by having the timing of these arguments at this time.

The docket of the Supreme Court was the deciding factor (by man), but God has a way of expressing His displeasure.

I dont care if these people get legal rights to take care of their affairs. Just dont call it marriage. Call it a legal union.

I hate how we keep changing the language; homeless=bum/rainforest=jungle/global warming=climate change.

A Ford Pinto is not a cadillac, and same sex unions are not marriage.

That's true. It's been very difficult to see this happening that a government does not place morality as an important factor of what holds us a nation together. Neither party welcomes God now.

I sure hope gay marriage does not 'come to pass' upon this land. Was wondering, this morning, what the Lord might do if it does?

So true; it is easy to see the bad apples bobbing up in the washbucket these days.

"If we are to survive as a nation, as a people, we must return to God."

I agree 100%.
A while back things started to change drastically.
Bad is now good, good is looked at as weird.
Remember when only prisoners had tattoos all over their body?
Remember when most athletes were clean cut?
If we aren't in the end times we probably should be. . . .

I believe the outlawing of polygamy has been upheld by the courts.

Maybe the only solution to this is to outlaw homosexuality again.

Its already written what our Lord will do,it’s in the Bible.
What we should do is also there,be prepared always for judgement before the dread judgement seat of Christ

Today the U.S. Supreme Court begins to decide if the people of California were wrong to decide that marriage is between a man and a woman.

The premise of same sex marriage is that men and women are interchangeable. That is the same premise supporting feminism.

But we all know that men living with men are friends. Women living with women are friends. It is literally insane to claim that men and women are interchangeable. To codify into law that men and women are interchangeable is insane and sacrilegious.

To codify same sex marriage will require the lawmakers to set aside their responsibilities for the safety and security of the people they represent, by condoning sexual perversion that takes place during sexual union of same sex couples.

These lawmakers, by such action, support the added costs of STDs, AIDs, and other mental and physical ailments associated with homosexuality. Your tax dollars at work! But, do not worry, Obamacare will cover the costs.

Yet the good news is that the Christian faith is growing, and new believers will be added this coming Easter.

Huckabee:Evangelicals Will Walk if GOP Backs Gay Marriage

Wednesday, March 20, 2013 05:49 PM

By: Jim Meyers and Kathleen Walter

Mike Huckabee warns that Republicans risk losing the vote from evangelical Christians if they back away from their opposition to gay marriage.

Last week, Ohio Sen. Bob Portman announced he has reversed his position and now supports gay marriage.

In an exclusive interview with Newsmax TV, former Arkansas Gov. Huckabee — and ordained Southern Baptist minister — was asked if he sees the GOP ever pivoting and backing gay marriage.

Urgent: Should Pope Francis Allow Women Priests, Contraception? Vote Here Now.

“They might. And if they do, they’re going to lose a large part of their base because evangelicals will take a walk,” he responds.

If the gays want to get married they are adding sin upon sin. A few of us know where they will end up and don’t feel sorry for them. They have rejected everything they have heard like the Jews in Jerusalem before the crucifixion.

A few of us know where they will end up

It will not be in Heaven (1 Corinthians 6:9) and it will be where the "worm dieth not" (Mark 9:48).

If one does not repent and turn to Christ, any sin will keep one out of Heaven.

Luke 10
8 “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you. 9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’ 12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.
