If someone had a Glock in their beach bag, guess who would have been going to jail. Just sayin’. Hint: It wouldn’t have been mark kelly-giffords.

Kelly did a decent job of disengaging the dog. It takes a bigger dog. Before he got there the others were trying to hit the dog with a piece of kelp!
It does not appear to me to be a pit bull.

Did not end well for the sea lion.

“What if my boat accidentally kills a whale...whoops, an accident?”

The right sort of whale can fetch $1,000,000 to interested Japanese fish buyers ... Just claim you belong to the Makah Tribe in WA State which can legally take whales.

Once long ago, a friend of mine at the time caught (had an accident) as a result of a collision between his drift net and a basking shark. The shark was longer than his 35’ boat, and having torn up the net in a huge mess had (cue the tears) expired.

He cut the shark out after hours of work leaning over the side, and salvaged what little he could of the net. At that point he pondered towing the shark in, but decided it wasn't worth the fuel cost, and so let it sink.

A day latter, he was at a friend's house who did taxidermy, and learned that the hide of the shark was (cue more tears) worth $1.00 a square inch ...

I was just going from the video. Killed it good didn’t he. Probably the highlight of the dogs week wouldn’t you say.

Just a guess but cats probably steer clear of that yard.

If a dog injures or kills a deer-the woods are full of them here-the fine is in the thousands-and that is just for a commnon deer. If the dog chases someone’s livestock-also plenty of that here-the owner of the livestock can shoot the dog, and the owner still has to pay a fine. Dogs don’t need to run loose off anyone’s property or a leash.

My daughter purchased one of the aforementioned AKC American Pit Bullterriers as a puppy several years ago. Terriers in general are hyperactive dogs that like to chase/hunt animals. My dog is a Siberian Husky-Huskies like to chase/hunt animals. Not a good idea to walk either breed around wildlife.

Oh, dear-they didn’t think the rules were for them, too? Why am I not surprised...

I think all dogs should be limited to ten teeth.

Post of the Day! Thanks

American Bulldogs are different than the specific American Pitbull Terrier breed, but they are part of the general category of dogs known as “Pitbulls”.

Freakin idiots. The video is a hoot as these dopes flail away trying to remove their dogs mouth/teeth clamped onto the sea lion’s neck.

Gifford+astronaut should be hauled into court for destroying a protected species

Oh, and the stay at the resort would run at least $600 per night.

You make good money when you run an IRS tax exempt gun-grabbing organization. Lib suckers will send you mega-bucks and maybe you get a Gov't grant or three or five. My guess is Kelly and Gabrielle Gifford grab a combined $500,000 salary each year. Great money for spreading lies and lib BS

The news woman was sure quick to brand the dog's breed as “American Bulldog”. Did she DNA test it? How do we know it wasn't a Pit Bull? Did Mark Kelly allow his daughter to purchase an Assault Dog? Perhaps Kelly and his daughter bought the dog in order to donate it.....

Pits have been bred for centuries as fighters and killers. Big dogs are not the issue but, the inbred behavior is. All they had to do was put the dog’s head under water and he would have let go. Either that, or choke him down. I once had to choke a Charpai to make him let go of a woman’s hand. When they can’t breathe, they can’t bite.

I’ve never met an out of control dog without an out of control owner.

My mom had a neighbor with too many out of control dogs. He moved. He took a big loss on the property. He was in a hurry.

Some observations:

1. I'd like to know who purchased the dog.

2. I was wondering who can afford to stay at the Montage....government-type....figures.

3. There are signs all around the beach at the Montage designating it as a "Marine Protection Area" and that if you touch/remove anything (a shell, a sea urchin, etc.) that you will be in big trouble. Killing a sea lion - I guess not so much.

This is the teen aged daughters from the woman he dumped to marry Gabby. Probable absent Dad guilt.

I’ve never met an out of control dog without an out of control owner.

I've been going into people's yards and homes all my life in my various jobs, regardless of which face the tenant or home owner shows me, whether the first impression is that they are mean and gruff, or sweet and nice, I have learned that the dog's personality will almost always show you what the person is really like.

I went to bed reading headlines making him a hero as a rescuer of a sea lion.

Now we learn that a Giffords dog mauled a sea lion to death.

That seems like two totally different stories to me.
