Pimped: Republicans going gay for cash
American Vision News ^ | Mar 26, 2013 | Joel McDurmon

They say politics makes for strange bedfellows, but now the bedfellows are making for strange politics. The alleged conservative politicians are willingly selling their sexual mores for cash.

One major motivation in the flip-flopping of so many Republicans, it appears, is the belief that there are loads of campaign cash to be had on the side of the homosexual marriage issue. The professing conservatives can’t line up on the street corners fast enough advertising themselves for whatever position the sodomites would like them to assume.

Choose ye this day whether ye shall stand for your beliefs, or be pimped out to homosexuals by your Party leaders.

they bring up gay marriage. We respond. We don’t need to apologize for being coarse. the subject is coarse. Our kids have to watch this.

Well I wish them lots of luck pandering to that 1 or 2 percent because its going to cost them a lot more than that.

You are presuming they have sexual morals.

That is very, VERY difficult to believe.

We lost the culture war when we allowed liberals to take over public schools.

I did my best, but my kids attended public schools. I have 3 kids, all are conservative by today’s standards. My oldest is a little wobbly on the issue of gay marriage, but I suspect he’s in favor. My middle child is totally opposed, but she’s married and raising her own family now. My youngest is all for gay marriage.

Indoctrination by the schools, popular culture and peer pressure have people believing gay marriage is a civil right.

Homosexuals make up less than 2% of the population -- although they seem to have more than 2% of the money.

A political party's base tends to make up 30% of the population.

Money sure helps, but in the end, it's votes that matter. The GOP is throwing aside 30% of the people in order to attract 2% of the people.
That's dumb on its face.
And it's even worse, because the 2% isn't going to come over. They will stay Democrats, although they may fork over some cash.

The GOP is jettisoning its base, for no real return at all -- except some money with which to pay the party "experts" like Rove.

We really need a serious third party...basically ex-Republicans. It needs to be something better than the LP or the CP, but we need a right of center alternative to the GOP.

Then again, perhaps if no other vehicle emerges, and we all know this is hard thankless work, but if no other emerges, half of us should go each to the CP and half to the LP and let the GOP finally die.

They will say to us...exactly what? “If the GOP dies, the Democrats will win elections, taxes will go up, deficits will explode, gar marriage will become national and permanent.”

The GOP is so limpwristed it can’t stop the Democrats.

So we need a new vehicle, one with a message and then did in for the longterm.

Out of the ashes, perhaps.

The GOP hopes that the gay issue will be neutralized...in other words both parties would be considered pro-gay, thus making it a non-issue.

But they would be wrong...the gays will keep pushing their agenda more and more, and the Democrats will go along, and the GOP drag on it, but inevitably go along. So they wouldn’t make any gains from those who vote for Democrats, because they will ALWAYS be the more pro-gay party.

Meanwhile, they will lose millions of social conservatives. They would become irrelevant.

The GOP is throwing aside 30% of the people in order to attract 2% of the people.

It's not the 2% alone that they are trying to attract, it's the X% that agree with those 2% as well. However, I completely agree that it is likely that they will not be successful in drawing a sizeable number of those individuals away from the Democrat party.

We don't need a third party. They failed in the past, fail now, and will always fail in the future. We need activists involved in the party that do more than complain online.

Are you involved in your local party? Are you recruiting candidates for open seats and helping good incumbents? Are you recruiting primary challengers when necessary? Are you helping those potential challengers win?

My congressman won't be voting for homo marriage anytime soon. Tim Walberg. When the third party failure pushers are pushing for the GOP to die, that includes my congressman who IS doing a good job as much as it includes bad people like Rove.

the gays will never stop complaining. THey already have cultural acceptance, now they want to destroy the institution of marriage using the Supreme Court as it will get voted down in voting.

Gay marriage is a lie, anyway.

Of COURSE they won’t stop.

What they want is God’s acceptance of their lifestyle and all the liberal judges in the world cannot achieve that for them.

Cut and run, GOP.

Out of the ashes indeed.

Maybe the GOP can thrive with a new conservative wing The Wacko Bird wing?
