Jim Carrey mocks gun enthusiasts in 'Funny or Die' 'Hee-Haw' spoof

Reckon Jim Carrey lost a few of his 10 million Twitter followers Monday?

In a biting "Hee-Haw" themed Funny or Die spoof, the outspoken comedian takes aim at America's "heartless" gun enthusiasts -- including Charlton Heston, the late actor and former NRA president.

Carrey performed double duty in the video, as both Heston and the twangy lead singer of the band performing the catchy "Cold Dead Hand." (The title is an allusion to Heston's rifle-toting 2000 NRA address, in which he referenced the famous slogan "I'll give you my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.")

There not together anymore. She's a tacky, obnoxious slut, but I wouldn't say ugly.

Carrey is very funny, but only in very small doses.

His best days were back when he was on "In Living Color."

I used to get a chuckle out of “Fire Marshal Bill” but that’s about it. If I was still in the 3rd grade, maybe.

Funny or Die

Do we get a choice here? (Surprised I'm the first one to post this).

He’s not funny and it’s time he realized his career has died.

He is a high school dropout who has admittedley suffered for years with manic depression and bipolar disorder.

Wow. That makes for some serious comedy/s
Anyway Carey needs to get back on the meds and remember that we put him where he is today. But, now, one half the country says see ya jimmy don’t let the door hit ya....

It would have been a lot funnier if he had worn a Nazi uniform while doing it.

Likely he is just so out of touch he does not realize that he is isolating himself from the mass market

When they make a pile of money off the masses they become above everything and think that what they have to say is very important after all, they are stars. They don’t realize that that slope can be slippery then expected and I hope carey flies down as quick as he came up.

Re. that totally INANE and INSANE Jim Carrey anti-Second Amendment video, this MORON has no regard for FACTS or information that fails to square with his warped worldview:

If that character in the Indian garb is supposed to be Gandhi, here’s a quotation Carrey probably either never encountered or, more likely in this IDIOT’S case, simply ignored:
“Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.” —Mahatma Gandhi, An Autobiography, p. 446

If that character with the rose-colored glasses was supposed to be John Lennon, Carrey probably also ignored the fact that several years before he was tragically shot by a madman, Lennon had swung to the right and declared himself to be more closely aligned with conservative philosophy than the utopian liberal ideology much of his music glorified. Large quantities of money can do that to folks. Heck, it may even work for Carrey. Then again he may already be too far gone. (And if Lennon had been packing that night or been wise enough to grasp that there are really crazy folks out there who want only to get their names into the history books, he might still be with us.)

I’d like Carrey to tell us how many armed security people he travels with these days. I’d also like to know how elaborate his HOME security system is, what it cost and how much he pays to maintain it. My guess is that it is out of reach of most of his soon to be FORMER fans.

After moving to LA in 1979, the Canadian born Carrey After partaking of the fruits of the American economic system (currently being DESTROYED by his buddy, Barack Hussein Obama), to his credit, he finally became an American citizen in 2004. It begs the question of why it took him 25 years to do so. Unfortunately, the First Amendment affords him the right to criticize the Second Amendment. Jim, have you considered that cherry-picking the Bill Of Rights to eliminate the Second Amendment will certainly put the First – and others — on the radar of the would-be tyrants the Second is intended to check? Probably not. It seems the Canadian school system is as deficient in teaching critical thinking as those here.

I won’t even attempt to dignify Carrey’s silly and defamatory characterization of Mr. Heston. I WILL offer the words of Sigmund Freud as an explanation of Carrey’s fear of weapons:
“The fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity.”
In Jim’s case, this problem almost certainly manifests in the physical realm way as well.

So, Jimmy, booby, stick to what you do best: Making the complete fool of yourself you so capably demonstrated in that moronic video.

That said, it is my fondest hope that you have angered and offended so many of those who have made you wealthy enough to ignore the realities of a dangerous world (now being made more so by you and your liberal/”progressive” fellow travelers who helped land the Great Divider in the White House) that they find more agreeable and appropriate ways to spend their money.

The sooner the better.

Carrey is very funny, but only in very small doses. Don’t think I ever managed a whole movie.

Agreed. I did chuckle at his "mutant Elvis" routine, but it was just a small part of a multi-performer tribute to the late Sam Kinison.

I'll go ahead and predict that nobody will be doing any comedy tributes to Jim, 20 years after he croaks.

He just had a movie come out...which of course is why he is standing on the coffins of dead six year old children to get some ‘buzz’ about himself.

The movie is called ‘Burt Wonderstone’.

Production costs - $30 million
Box office so far - $17.4 million

It failed to meet its opening weekend goal of $18 million...only making $3.7 million

Two weeks in, and it is already being called a failure....and all of the sudden Jim Carey dives in to the gun control craze. I wonder why.
