After a bit of introductory warm-up about the police raid on a New Jersey gun owner to “check his guns,” philly.com gets to it: the slurs and innuendos contained in the Carneys Point police report (not provided thank you very much). According the po-po, “Shawn Moore [above] was ‘ranting and waiving,’ ‘aggressive’ and acting ‘arrogantly’ when he rushed home from the restaurant March 14 to find [the cops] there, asking to look at his firearms because of an anonymous call they had received about his children’s safety. Moore later apologized for his behavior, police said, and his wife, Julie, told them he was still reeling from Obama’s election in 2008.” See what they did there? I mean, Mr. and Mrs. Moore . . .
I’m sure that they are manufacturing evidence as fast as possible for that warrant they didn’t have the first time.
If I were this guy it would be long past time for a dispersal of assets. If you know what I mean.

One night when I was on travel, my wife had too much wine and went out on the back deck to smoke as she does when she gets the wine bug. Long story short, she left the back door unlocked and only pulled-to. Turned on the alarm and a gust of wind an hour later blew it open and alarm sounded. The police came and she allowed them into the basement to "check".....I effing went ballistic! I told her in no uncertain terms allow the police in my house/basement. I also told her that she has to keep her mouth shut - do not volunteer anything. The last thing I want is some cop spying out what I have or don't have. I flat out told her if she allows that to happen again, I'd divorce her. Freedom is a serious business, and it does not need to be discussed with some government goon.
Blaming the victim is as old as history.
The Leninists blamed the Kulaks (”bourgeois” farmers) for impeding the progress of the proletariat. Kulaks were murdered by the millions just for having one or more horses. After that, nobody had anything, and millions more starved to death.

I wonder what the police would do if an "anonymous" caller would make a similar call of "concern" about the attending officer's children's safety at his home.
Julie Moore should learn not to discuss anything but the weather with the police when they arrive at your home in a threatening call. That and “I want to call my attorney”.

I once worked for the son of a Kulak farmer. He had emigrated to the States and was a successful businessman. If you wanted to hear some hair-raising stories all you had to do was get him drunk and ask him about the war (WWII). He fought for the Nazis against the Soviets and he gave them hell in the worst ways imaginable. To the end of his days he secretly sent money to help finance something inside the USSR (I suspected industrial sabotage). He died the same month that the USSR ceased to exist. I sometimes think that it was because he knew his work was done.
