To campaign or not to campaign?
Earlier this month, Carroll, the Twitterer formerly known as @GayPatriot, resigned his position at GOProud to focus on a potential run against Sen. Lindsey Graham. It looks like he’s finally made a decision, once and for all.

Seems like a move to inoculate Graham against a possible mid-campaign outing. I don’t believe he’s in SC GOProud and he really opposes Graham.

Good. The more the merrier in the 2014 SC GOP primary for Senate. We need to get enough candidates in that primary to keep Lindsey from reaching the 50% level he would need to avoid a run-off. Then, in the runoff, Lindsey later gets his ass handed to him by the conservative who places 2nd in the primary.
This would be déjà vu — just the way Ted Cruz sent GOPe favorite David Dewhurst packing. Sweet!!!
I have no vote there but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the guy push a gay agenda if he won. After all, its important enough that he chooses to make it a defining feature of who he is.
Just thinking a bit into the future, if this guy really is a conservative who just happens to be gay, imagine Sarah Palin coming in and endorsing a Gay Conservative Republican. And suppose he wins, South Carolina (SOUTH CAROLINA!!) would have two conservative senators, one black and one gay. Liberal’s heads would explode. And Palin would just love to needle the liberals on that one.

We know who Graham has become, and BC bills himself as a “consistent Constitutional Conservative”, so why not give him a chance and get rid of Graham once and for all.
What one doesn't do, the other does and after all is done .. we lose.

Absolutely correct. I too have no vote and have nothing against him personally, but I doubt I would vote for him. Should he be elected I strongly suspect voters would see a sudden and abrupt shift in his priorities. Sorry, that is a risk I would simply not be willing to take. The unmitigated damage would be catastrophic, in my opinion and not worth the risk.
I don’t care if the guy is gay or not but the fact that he uses it to define himself makes me suspicious. Pinal county sheriff Paul Babeu is a solid border control conservative who happens to be gay. The only reason we know about it is because the gay reich outed him during his senate run. He certainly doesn’t introduce himself as Paul Babeu, gay Sheriff.
Don’t get too excited.
Last time, Graham has a few who indicated some interest in running against him. They dropped out long before any serious threat was even mounted. That will happen again, probably.
Graham, like his old buddy, has been in politics long enough to know how to dig dirt and silence opposition. Ironically, sadly, the best chance SC had to get rid of him is to vote for the Democrat.
