Sorry, but he isn’t just gay, he’s a GAY ACTIVIST. No way that a gay activist can be a real conservative. He may favor lower spending, but obviously his primary concern is “gay rights,” and that has proven to be absolutely endless.

In other words, we’ve got two losers in the race.

If there were such thing as a truth in advetising law for politicos most of them would be buried under the jail and Graham would be in the deepest of holes.

Since SC is among the most religiously conservative states, someone would have to get better than 40% to keep Graham below 50%.

“No way that a gay activist can be a real conservative.”

Absolutely right. A real conservative wouldn’t define their identity based on their sexual proclivities, nor would they expect everyone else to accommodate them.

I may be wrong but I remember the facts about Babeu somewhat differently. I welcome any correction.

Unless and until being a homosexual is accepted by nearly all of society (which God forbid), those who seek positions of public authority while practicing homosexuality present problems. Their understandable desire to hide their perversions from public scrutiny subjects them to being, as you put it, "outed" by "the gay reich." Nominating more conventional persons helps to avoid such controversies. It would also help if we could avoid nominating the straight though quite adulterous likes of former SC governor Mark Sanford who had a similar desire to hide his relationship with the Argentine bombshell while claiming to be hiking the Appalachian Trail (while actually canoodling with Ms. Argentina).

Secondly, Sheriff Babeu was running for Congress and not the Senate.

Thirdly, Babeu was driven from the race by the revelation that he had an "illegal alien" Mexican young sweetie of the same gender stashed in Mexico for the time being during his race for Congress.

Personally, I care little for this business about "illegal aliens" but Babeu dug his own grave as to unconventional sexuality AND as to hypocrisy on the "border control" issue.

Don't you think that a state GOP like that of South Carolina, conservative as that state is, can do an awful lot better than either Lindsay Light Loafers Graham or Bruce Gay Patriot Carroll as a United States Senate candidate??? If not, we are all wasting our time. The party and the nation are utterly finished in that event.
