Goodman can't adopt 43-year-old girlfriend, court rules

Embattled polo mogul John Goodman can't adopt his 43-year-old girlfriend after all, an appeals court ruled Wednesday.

The adoption would have enabled girlfriend Heather Hutchins to claim a third of a $300 million trust fund established for Goodman's two children, both younger than 18.

The 49-year-old multimillionaire's bid to assume parental custody of Hutchins was voided because he didn't notify his ex-wife Carroll Goodman, the mother of the children, until after the adoption appeals process had passed in January 2012, according to a Third District Court of Appeal ruling.

If he could first adopt her, could he still marry her later?

If not, why not?

Poor misunderstood trustfunders and millionaires with more money than brains.

Watch, in a few years, the rules for adoption will change too.

I can’t even wrap my mind around the reason that this person would even consider making such a request. If he wants to enrich his girlfriend, why doesn’t he just give her some of his money....

I'd say, ask Woody Allen.

So, either give her the money now or make her his dog’s caretaker with a very nice salary.

He’s a trust fund baby that’s being sued for vehicular homicide. As of now, he and his two children are beneficiaries of the trust. He is afraid that a judgment against him will remove what’s left of his income after alimony payments. I guess he figures if he can adopt his girlfriend, she will gain access to trust payments, and he won’t be broke.
He must trust his girlfriend a lot.

That would be HIS money, this was a way to steal a third of his ex-children's trust fund

Wait! Wait just a damn minute! If Heather and I were gay... you'd let us marry!

Hey, he does... have a point--

There’s been more and more calls for that feature...

It’d be kinda cool to have a listing, then, of most popular posts.
