SEOUL, South Korea (AP) ó The U.S military says two nuclear-capable B-2 bombers have completed a training mission in South Korea amid threats from North Korea that include nuclear strikes on Washington and Seoul.

The statement Thursday by U.S. Forces Korea is an unusual confirmation. It follows an earlier U.S. announcement that nuclear-capable B-52 bombers participated in ongoing U.S.-South Korean military drills.

I thought a number of B2s were based in Guam — one was lost there in an accident — Andersen Air Force Base.

Yes, but flying that close to NORK territory. Gives them a possible glimpse they should not have.

We could easily make glass parking lot of entire North Korea is we wanted. They know that already. They also know that Obozo will never do anything to harm another DickTator.

LOL! It’s too bad that they’re not still in Guam. It’s not far from Korea.

Can’t think of a worse president to have in office at times like this.

No kidding. That worries me to death.

“This strikes me as strange, because in ALL the other missions for the B2, they flyout of Missouri, non-stop, no landing, refuel in midair, conduct their bombing run, and RETURN TO MISSOURI.” - MB

I see nothing in the article that contradicts the possibility that the B2 flew out of and landed in Missouri, non-stop. Do you?

"Okinawa would be better."

Japanese were less than thrilled when the F-22's showed up - B2's would start their heads spinnin'

Nowadays an old Beechcraft “fork tailed Dr. killer” could be nuclear capable too.

Just sayin’...

Dancing to NOKO despot invitation clearly displays our Halfican’s stupidity and ignorance. NOKO is a Chinese paper tiger.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is “never get involved in a land war in Asia” - but only slightly less well-known is this: “Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line”! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...

The B-2 has also recently been modified to carry the GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator, GPS guided, 30,000 pound, bunker buster bomb. Each B-2 will be able to carry two of these bombs.

The USAF currently has 20 of these in their inventory.

Importantly, the USAF also has 15 GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bombs, 22,600 pound. Its airburst blast yield is the equivalent of an air burst, 11-kiloton nuclear bomb.

That pretty well rules out any Nork efforts to invade, because any sizable troop concentrations would be like hair hit with a flamethrower.
