North Korea put its rocket units on standby on Friday to attack US military bases in South Korea and the Pacific, after the United States flew two nuclear-capable stealth bombers over the Korean peninsula in a rare show of force.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed off on the order at a midnight meeting of top generals and "judged the time has come to settle accounts with the US imperialists in view of the prevailing situation", the official KCNA news agency said.
On Thursday, the United States flew two radar-evading B-2 Spirit bombers on practice runs over South Korea, responding to a series of North Korean threats. They flew from the United States and back in what appeared to be the first exercise of its kind, designed to show America's ability to conduct long-range, precision strikes "quickly and at will", the US military said.
The news of Kim's response was unusually swift.
"He finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets of the KPA, ordering them to be standby for fire so that they may strike any time the US mainland, its military bases in the operational theatres in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea," KCNA said.
The North has an arsenal of Soviet-era Scud missiles that can hit South Korea but its longer-range missiles are untested. Independent assessments of its missile capability suggest it may have theoretical capacity to hit US bases in Japan and Guam.
The North has launched a daily barrage of threats since early this month when the United States and the South, allies in the 1950-53 Korean War, began routine military drills.
The South and the United States have said the drills are purely defensive in nature

are other units also on alert expecting retaliation?
Just take a truck full of BBQ and the entire army will lay down their arms. Trust me.
child beggars of North Korea...

Could Kim3 be blackmailing the world right now?
I laughed out loud when I saw the reports of the B2’s bombing a range in South Korea. Our plans are not very secret
I wonder if the pansey ass knew it was planned.
I’ll bet it caused a big row in the norky HQ
rodman and the babe seem to admire each other
:)
I can go with Kimmydumbasses desire to “settle accounts”——let’s start with him returning the USS Pueblo and paying for the damage to it and the crew. Then he can pay us for all the groceries we’ve bought for him in the past few decades. And don’t forget he owes the Souks for a patrol boat. The little punk has run up a pretty good bill that does indeed need to be “settled”.
BBQ cat or dog...have to be more specific
This is accurate. Lets talk specifics about our projected weakness. Remember a mere few months ago NK sent a rocket flying directly over the island of Okinawa. What did we do? Absolutely nothing. As a matter of fact not only did we do nothing we told the Japanese to do nothing. We should have shot that thing down with no apologies..instead we have an emboldened narcissictic dictator who is wondering how many more rockets he can send with no consequence. I am wondering the same thing. Weakness indeed.
I guess those anti-missile defense systems are going to come in handy. That would be the ones that President Reagan fought so hard to get built, and the ones that the socialists and liberals wanted no part of.
Now we have a chicken sh!t in chief who will brag about how he will put them to good use.
Unless of course he bows to them first!
If NK shoots some rockets into a US base in the region, Americans SHOULD be screaming for blood. Obama will do something, but it won’t be decisive or do much.
I’d say “drop leaflets, and then level pyongang” immediately, obama will say “sanctions, and drone some of their rocket bases”
//So the question is, if Lil Kim does do something, does our current CIC have the testicular fortitude to do anything about it?//
And the answer is...NO WAY IN HELL.
I wonder how much of this may be tied into the recent dispute between China and Japan over a few rocks south of Okinawa.
I thought A$$wipe Rodman told the preezy of the united steezy to give’em a call....he likes basketball LOL.
Call me an impractical person, but if the evidence (in real time surveillance) were to indicate the rockets were being fueled up, ready to fly...
These launch sites are in fixed positions, so I would think at that particular juncture we go to an immediate condition to shoot down the rockets in boost phase, as best we can, followed by TLAM shots to destrpoy the launch sites soon afterwards...
In my opinion we are defending the world against such a petulent, immature act by Kim Jr.
Think about it, what could they possibly do about it, but get hurt some more...
But we have limp biscuit leadership, absolutely hell bent upon giving them every chance to feel emboldened, and not hesitant about launching such a low probablility of success strike...
I guess I am just not willing to take a chance...Is that being un-diplomatic??? Should we just go ahead and let the NK’s roll the dice???
If it were to me, I would have already taken out the launch sites by now...And let the folks that would have a problem with it bluster all they want...
But this is just my opinion...
Priceless!

In that Agreed Framework, North Korea was GIVEN two twin, light water nuclear reactors from the U. S. - - [since Bill Clinton designated that Agreed Framework as a 'deal'...Congress had no say in it!!] Thank you Bill & Hillary Clinton (and democrats) for fully loading up North Korea with plutonium bombs!

(not to mention, this proof from Albright's words herself!! )

Again, thanks Hillary and democrats; look what you've brought upon us now!
