Its about to get real people. There are those in law enforcement who are standing for the law of the land and then there are the radical Socialists in Washington who seek to trample the law under their feet. Since a number of brave men in this country have come forward to state that as the supreme law enforcement officers in their counties they will not enforce new gun control laws, the Obama White House has demanded that they must.
The Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) has the support of at least 381 sheriffs and the cooperation of at least 15 state sheriff associations stating that they will not enforce federal or state gun laws they consider unconstitutional.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Jay Carney was asked by CNSNews.com, There have been 381 sheriffs that have signed on saying they would not enforce gun laws they believed were unconstitutional. Would the administration have a problem if local law enforcement did not enforce whatever gun package were to pass?
While Carney said he had not seen the list of sheriffs, probably like he claimed a video was responsible for Benghazi, he did say, I think as a general proposition we think that people ought to follow the law. As an absolute matter of fact in my view, and I think many other constitutional experts, theres not a single measure in this package of proposals the president has put forward that in anyway violates the Constitution. In fact, they reflect the presidents commitment to our Second Amendment rights.
When Rosa Parks didnt give up her seat on the bus, should she have been arrested or should the police have escorted her home? Mack said. The law was to arrest her. It was a stupid, unconstitutional law.

Whats the problem? Leftist politicians refuse to enforce laws they don’t like.
I hate to inform the emperor but cops make legal judgement calls every day. Lord knows how many times I was saved from arrest during my misspent youth by a cop who didn’t think the law was well served by following it to the letter.
Jim, you have such a way with words!!!
Yeah, Carney, like Obama and his Bush and Clinton predecessors strictly followed immigration law and enforced said laws??? They set new standards for ignoring laws they don't like.
Must have taken someone hours to create it. And the person must be a bit artistic, too. Nice that it is low tech. Could be copied on an old typewriter.
FReep ‘em if he can’t take a joke.
I am very afraid, unfortunately, that people the world over have never valued freedom enough. The reason may be that it is just too intangible for people to grasp. Food, clothing, shelter: those are things they can touch and have an immediate attachment towards, but freedom? No. Bread and circuses can run an empire for centuries.
How’s that any different that Obama saying he’s not going to enforce DOMA because he doesn’t think it constitutional, or the DOJ saying they’ve decided not to enforce the law requiring cleanup of the voter rolls?
Like YOU’RE supposed to uphold federal aw in Arizona? Ya know, the state you’re suing? How I loathe these people. They’re an embarrassment in the least and treasonous in the max.
Lemme see...Locals cannot enforce immigration laws because they are Federal laws but must enforce Federal gun laws...I am confused.
LOL, I like the low tech approach myself, that’s why I keep it as a Word file!
.... and immigration, and voters rights, and court orders to to lift drilling bans, and tax laws against officials, and the removal of the illegal NLRB members.
If I were the sheriffs, I would issue a letter to the White House that since they are being compelled to enforce the gun laws that they will also enforce the immigration laws. Time to turn the tide and crush this tyrannical administration.
“Under this legislation, a law enforcement officer or sheriff found guilty would be removed from office and not allowed back in office for a period of ten years. Seriously, this should be applied to Ms. Davis and those who think like her, not upstanding sheriffs who are dismissing unlawful laws.”
Washington has no authority to tell us whom we elect as sheriff.
My Sheriff told me that he is going to follow the laws. (Which not necessarily mean the White House)
Strange times we live in when the US government is at war with the citizens, but that is what we got right now.
States are not mere political subdivisions of the United
States. State governments are neither regional offices nor
administrative agencies of the Federal Government. The
positions occupied by state officials appear nowhere on the
Federal Governments most detailed organizational chart.
The Constitution instead leaves to the several States a residuary and inviolable sovereignty, The Federalist No. 39, p. 245 (C. Rossiter ed. 1961), reserved explicitly to the States by the Tenth Amendment.
Whatever the outer limits of that sovereignty may be, one
thing is clear: The Federal Government may not compel the
States to enact or administer a federal regulatory program.
