EXACTLY!
Other than 3/4” galvanized water pipe set into the concrete walls is some homes in Africa, I’ve never seen a shower curtain rod that would hold more than 25 lbs or so.
I +was thinking the same thing; usually they’re hollow metal 1” OD tubes and simply screwed-into the walls, just to hold-up the shower curtain. As rich as he was, it was probably gold and embedded into wall-mounted fixtures. Who knows?
