President Barack Obama walked into the mouth of a giant tunnel in Miami on Friday to highlight proposals to boost investment in U.S. infrastructure, a move designed to show a leader still focused on the economy in the midst of broader policy battles in Washington.
Obama’s tour of the Port of Miami tunnel project and a subsequent speech were aimed at convincing members of the U.S. Congress to back proposals that would leverage taxpayer dollars into funds to rebuild American roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
“My main message is, let’s get this done,” he said. “Let’s rebuild this country that we love.”
Obama, as he has in the past, said he wanted to develop a national infrastructure bank and capitalize it with $10 billion. The idea is to pull in private-sector funding and pick projects based on merit. …

And that infrastructure bank, hah, only reason you want that is to raid it for more marxist payoffs.
Infrastucture means union payoffs and graft. They’re not getting raises because there will be no minimum wage increase. And their power nationwide is diminishing. If this keeps up they’ll have no more reason to support the democratic party and go all out in elections, which is the fear.
Swell....he gets a legacy which the media will inflate to that of FDR, and the private sector is supposed to pay for his grandiose schemes. No doubt many of them will line the pockets of his cronies.

How can our infrastructure possibly be in dis-repair? Our President has campaigned on roads and bridges for six years and he won. Twice!
This port expansion is just a big subsidy for the Communist Chinese.
The Panama Canal is expanding....so it can handle more Communist Chinese ships. Since the NAFTA/North American Union Superhighway may never get built... Miami is trying to be the main port for Communist Chinese goods coming to America
Imagine if those billions were used to build factories in America
