Queen Elizabeth is dying and the Duchess of Cornwall has an 'evil plot' to seize the throne.

Globe magazine alleges that the 86-year-old monarch is 'sick and fading fast.'

The Duchess of Cornwall is frequently the target of negative coverage by the magazine.

The publication claims she is trying to sabotage Prince William and Kate Middleton from stepping up to the throne.

Claiming that an 86-year-old woman is “near death” is a fairly safe, call, statistically ... but Queen Elizabeth may reach 100, bless her heart.

Wouldn’t the succession naturally fall to Charles?

Yes, he is the heir. If he becomes King, there will be some issue with the appropriate title for his wife, but it will likely be sorted out with civility. There’s no indication that Camilla is the monster the tabloids paint.

No one has to plot to prevent William from ”stepping up to the throne”. The law of succession is not a popularity contest; it mandates that the eldest son of the monarch inherits the throne. William will ”step up to the throne” after his grandmother and his father die.

“The publication claims she is trying to sabotage Prince William and Kate Middleton from stepping up to the throne.”

Sounds like the writers of the tabloid want desperately to ignore the fact that it is Prince Charles who is next to succeed. Prince William will succeed after his father (unless the succession laws change or one or both men are somehow disqualified from ascending to the throne.)

She would be King’s Consort. Unless he decreed it. But he would risk the already fed up with Charles attitude there.

William and Kate are the beloved ones. And they seem much more normal than Charles ever did. And don’t get me started on the whore Camilla.

Charles, too, and his first wife. (Mr. Parker-Bowles appears to have demonstrated integrity and decorum.)

As the Consort, she would have a title ... perhaps continuing as Duchess of Cornwall, just as Prince Philip is Duke of Edinborough.

Again, it’s not an American Idolatry contest.
And Camilla is the opposite of a whore. She and Charles were in love in their youth, and he was blocked from marrying her. Theirs is a story of true love - something that the media idolaters of youth and beauty can’t understand - that an older, seemingly less attractive woman could be the true love, and not the younger, fashionable prettier one.

Dying at 86? In Queen Victoria's family? Bloody unlikely. They usually crap out at 115 or something, while shooting peasant from horseback in wintertime Scotland in a sleetstorm.

BTW, is Camilla still very ugly? In which case the "Plug Ugly Queen Rule" could automatically come into play and she could be beheaded. Nasty piece of work, that one.

The publication claims she is trying to sabotage Prince William and Kate Middleton from stepping up to the throne.

If the Queen dies, Prince Charles is next in line to the throne, and Camilla, his spouse, would be Queen.

William gets the crown after Charles' death. Then, Kate Middleton would be Queen.

I'm not sure what Camilla would be, probably would be given some ceremonial title. They have never had a divorced person in the mix, So, she couldn't be called the "Queen Mother" (as she is not the "mother" of William), which is what Queen Elizabeth's mother was called, after the King died and the Princess Elizabeth became Queen.

That’ why a Bachelor Brit King had to abdicate the throne so he could marry his divorcee Love prior to WWII.

The Queen Mother made it to 101. She was born in the last year of the 19th century (Aug. 4, 1900) and died in the second year of the 21st century (March 30, 2002).

Henry VIII divorced a couple of his wives, but he was already king at the time, and the Tudors were much more in control of the situation than the Saxe-Coburg-Gotha family is.

Kate would not automatically become Queen (or Queen Consort, the proper title for the King’s wife to distinguish from a Sovereign Queen); she would have to be granted the title by the King.

The difference is unlike the Tudors, the King (or Queen) is the head of the Church of England, which in 1938 did not permit divorced people to remarry. Kind of ironic since the C of E was started because the Pope refused to annul Henry’s marriage to Catherine.

There is no way that Camilla can be denied the title of Queen if her husband Charles becomes King. It’s automatic due to their laws. On the other hand, there was a British king from several centuries ago whose wife had deserted him while he was still a prince and run off to Europe with her lover. When he ascended the throne, the wife came home begging forgiveness and the husband barred her entry to the palace, there was one case where the spouse of the king was denied the title of queen.

How is he not any less human than the rest of us? Was there a gun to his head? Have heirs to the throne not in the past dismissed it to marry their love? They have!

You are the odd one here. Idolizing someone to imagine that he gets a pass on adultery because he ‘does not have free choice?’

Bull. He has as much free choice as the rest. But like many, chose to have it all. As the cost of being an indecent human being to Diana as well as Camilla’s husband.
