U.S. F-22 stealth fighter jets arrived in South Korea on Sunday for exercises as part of an effort to demonstrate advanced military capabilities, seeking to deter provocations from North Korea, according to reports.
The move come after North Korea warned South Korea earlier in the weekend that the Korean peninsula had entered a state of war, according to an Associated Press report. Pyongyang threatened to shut down a border factory that is a symbol of North and South Korean cooperation, according to the report.
The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday that the arrival of the stealth jets came after previous examples of U.S. air power that included B-52 bombers and B-2 stealth bombers. The F-22 steal jets are normally stationed in Japan at Kadena air force base but flew to a South Korean base for continuing military exercises. Stealth aircraft more easily evade radar tracking.

He is trying to start “North Korean spring”.
The correct response to NKs crazy talk is to ignore it. This will only force NK to do something else.
I guess Obama and his crew want them to make it.
The next step is economic and tehnological aid.
The tubby tyrant is ronery and seeks attention.
And he’s willing to kill to get attention.
13,000 pieces of artillery
at least 300 Scud class ballistic missles
Significant Biological and Chemical weapons stockpiles, which include anthranx, vx, sarin, blister, and mustard gas.
1.2 million men in their army, poorly equipped but lots of em
Oh and they are working with Russia, China, Syria, and Iran. With China having a long history of using NK to test the US.
Just what I was thinking after the B-52 flyby. 0bama is acting like some ghetto gang banger who thinks he's been dissed. There is no need for the USA to prove that it's tough.
South Korean news just reported they think this action will cause a war.
SecDef Hagel is trying to show some muscle after being dissed so much by the Pubbies in his hearings.
It’s a fairly logical speculation. A tit for tat shoving match between two armed parties is pretty likely to push the most irrational one to take a shot.
Yup. Huessein probably plans to rebuild all of NK.
And Hussein will borrow money from China to pay for it.
The only part of that I don’t believe is that Hagel would do anything without 0bama’s approval.
I get the feeling that China's got no interest in getting involved, and wouldn't care much if he got blowed up though.
He's sort of the Fredo of the Axis family.
After 10 years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, I wouldn’t be surprised Obama is trying to start a conflict in NK to further bankrupt us with yet another war.
The problem I see with all of this is the United States is stretched so thin as it is from a military stand point. Obama has already said he won’t use nukes so realistically, what do the norks have to fear? Starving or not, that country is brain washed and going “in” to north korea is going to get a lot of good men and women killed.
Couple that with the norks playing around with low orbit payloads and their nuclear weapons testing, they might be crazy enough to think they can put some real hurt on us.
Obama and company have more than a couple aircraft carriers in port, who knows about our subs; pointedly, we are not projecting power or deterrence at all right now.
