Johns Hopkins University is standing by Dr. Ben Carson, even after the neurosurgeons anti-gay remarks, Dennis OShea, executive director of the universitys media relations said.
Dr. Carson is a distinguished Johns Hopkins surgeon and scientist chosen to speak at the School of Medicine diploma ceremony because of his extraordinary accomplishments as a neurosurgeon and his many contributions as an advocate for education and children, OShea said in an email to The Huffington Post. He was not asked to speak because of his personal political, religious or social views. His personal views are just that, his own. When he speaks about them, he is not speaking on behalf of Johns Hopkins.

I expect a temper tantrum from the spoiled brats. Bring it on, heh, heh.
I can’t wait. However I believe some are a bit reluctant to pile on him because so many see him in a positive light. The homosexual lobby which includes the media should tread carefully least they create too many sympathetic martyrs. Already there are countless examples of them playing the role of “brown shirt” or rather “pink shirts”. People are getting sick and tired of it even some of those who are sympathetic to homosexuals.
Apparently the group that wanted Dr. Carson out consisted of eight (8!) med students. Original stories indicated it was a majority of this year’s med school graduates. I didn’t think they’d get anywhere with this nonsense nor did Dr Carson.
I don’t so much care if there are 8 soon to be M.D.’s with degrees conferred by Johns Hopkins, but I am concerned that our best educated doctors could be so persuaded by political correctness as to disregard the very real medical problems that arise from ‘gay’ behavior.
I agree. I just want Drs. that acknowledge the reality not the propaganda. I don’t expect anyone to be anti-gay just be truthful. It certainly doesn’t help homosexuals to ignore the high rates of drug/alcohol abuse, the high rates of stds, the rampant promiscuity, the high rates of suicide etc. The state of science and medicine is being thoroughly corrupted by political correctness. They are no longer satisfied to even admit what they do not fully understand, they report with certainty things they know are incomplete.
Anyway its good to see the good guys win again. Dr. Angela McCaskill got her job back too.
The lavender shits are the most vicious of all.
This is the REASON WHY Johns Hopkins is always ranked either #1 or #2 every year!
They follow science instead of PC bull****!
Ah, don't you mean future abortionists?
While I'm glad to hear that, it makes for a minor win for the destroyers on the left, because lots of low info folks saw the screaming headlines and very few will hear about the actual details. So the story goes down that Carson is such a bigot that his own medical school rejects him.
Enough of these sorts of incidents, and the myth of a conservative becomes the "truth". Case in point - how many people still believe that Sarah Palin said, "I can see Russia from my house"?
Oh no they're not - as long as he lives on the plantation.
Dr. Carson will now understand what happens to someone with courage and accomplishment who climbs out of the leftist entitlement cesspool.
I would declare that this is a coordinated attack against all who state the obvious - an agenda to overturn the entire social / family history of the human race.
People can do whatever they want today between consenting adults. The SSM minority wants to deny nature and God - normalizing aberrant behavior. Their only tool is indoctrination, not theology or science.
I thought as much, Liberals are very good at orgizizing to suppress the speech of others.
Organizing to make yourself look more popular than you are is after all a major tenet of liberalism.
This is unforutnatly something we must learn to copy and out do, we are behind the curve in this vital area of politics.
The designation of “anti-gay” is itself a lie. I don’t know anyone who is anti-gay in the way they mean it. The people I know don’t accept the homosexual lifestyle. It is not only morally wrong, but physically and mentally unhealthy.
Pointing this out isn’t anti-anything, but pro-life. Homosexuals as people deserve love and respect individually, but you don’t have to like or accept their lifestyle. Telling the truth isn’t a political act.
Yeah...it was small. I went to their FB page and commented. At the time, there were only 124 page followers, and the post on Dr. Carlson only had 22 ‘likes’.
The Left media made as much hay as they possibly could for this non-story.
*****Apparently the group that wanted Dr. Carson out consisted of eight (8) med students*****
These 8 ‘students’ should have their names published. Clearly they are unable to read and/or separate ‘feelings’ from facts. Lacking such critical thinking, they will never reach the level of accomplishment as Dr. Carson. We need to know who they are and avoid putting our health in their hands.
How interesting. It seems only one formally associated with Johns Hopkins who didn’t defend Ben Carson was Ben Carson, when he offered to step aside as speaker.
Dr. Carson has hopefully learned a lesson in Politics 101.
He's not "anti-gay".
He's anti Disease-ridden, Boy-raping Whackjob!
Or any thing else for that matter.
Including your served food, at a restaurant.
It scares me that we are losing touch with people like Dr. Ben Carson who are able to accurately identify Truth and wisdom in the midst of a slew of insidiously misleading propaganda. They are not bothering to speak out as much because the world is going in such an appallingly ignorant direction that the truly intelligent and aware consensus is becoming, “Why bother trying to fix a thoroughly corrupted state; where would one even begin to approach sharing light with minds of such loopy reasoning?” It’s like trying to verbally teach a clam that if he had eyes, he could see the color green... Anyway, I wish I could somehow share any strength I may have with him when he is confronted with sensational media rhetoric designed to purposely mislead and serve as stumbling blocks. The most we can hope to do at this point is stick to black and white objective facts that clearly back positions. IN any other case, things always turn into an opinion based argument where sides are chosen between the lesser of two supposed evils (one being over judgmental and the other being completely hedonistic). He should stick to: the institution of what we currently refer to as marriage, is one inextricably defined by certain specifics. The basis of his argument at this time should be one of proper classification and definition. If a new association between partners demands to be investigated, then do that and make provisions based on the NEW SET of criteria. This would be better than calling a house rental agreement, a constitutionally defined, “marriage,” between man and house, yaknow?!
This is excellent news.
You are right. That said I am not opposed to making civil contracts easier for anyone to go into just don’t call it marriage and don’t restrict it to the assumption of sexual arrangements. Right now so called civil unions are being treated as if they are more binding than marriage where biological parents are concerned. This is just crazy and is one reason why I do not support the “civil union” remedy. A non biological parent should not receive more rights than a biological parent that does nothing more than decide they are no longer gay.
that was supposed to be "shirts".
My keyboard and my fingers don't want to work together.
I dunno, looks like a freudian slip to me!
There were *so* many ‘clever’ comments I mulled over. I finally settled on the safest one! :o)
I agree. I’ve never been against gays in the sense of hating them for we all have our crosses to bear but what they ask for is not love of person or tolerance but love and domination of their sin their imperfection.
I agree that prayer is important but I think human intelligence and human action by stepping in faith with the armor of God is important.
That’s exactly what I try to do. I pray for wisdom and patience.
Exactly correct. He simply spoke the truth. What MSNBC is saying, in effect, is that the truth is anti-gay.
Conservatives want freedom from coercion. Liberals want freedom from reality.
I was listening to Rush a couple of days ago, when I had the very rare experience of hearing a caller pull one over on him. The caller did this by calling himself a gay republican Rush listener. Then he went on to define the issue of “gay marriage” as one of economic fairness.
Rush almost caught the trick when he said that two sisters that lived together would be treated the same way as two who claimed to be in a “gay marriage”.
When you consider that, what the homosexuals want is legal priviledge for homosexual acts.
Live with a person without sexual acts, you are treated one way by the law. Live with them and claim a homosexual relationship, and you get special privileges.
Kudos to Johns Hopkins.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
“Rocket science” or “brain surgery” are the two most often used “duh” comparisons — as in, “It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to learn how to use an iPhone”, etc. It’s going to be super, super contortionist for the media to slime this man as a dumb right winger.
Not that they won’t try.
make sure & read the video notes... lots of links to prove the point. notice how the cdc is getting really weird. much of this is at least pg-13 & worse.
to the lgbt person:
GOD speaking to Cain before he killed Abel
"If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it." GENESIS 4:7
Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. Proverbs 4:23
One who is full loathes honey, but to one who is hungry everything bitter is sweet. Proverbs 27:7
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers to abstain from fleshly lusts which wage war against the soul. 1 Peter 2:11
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 1 Cor 6:9-11
Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God. John 3:16-21
Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matt 11:28-30
Leo Terrel on Hannity just said Carson DOES NOT have a right to speak an opinion on non-medical issues. And he also called Carson a monster.
"Dr. "He was not asked to speak because of his personal political, religious or social views. His personal views are just that, his own.
