Announcing the 2013 Free Republic Meet & Greet
It is that time of year again. Time to start planning for our annual meet & greet. After several weeks of planning, we finally have some details for this event.
This years meet & greet will be the weekend of Friday, September 13th. We chose San Francisco this year due to some great sponsorship opportunities that will reduce the amount of money FReepers will need to spend.
Fridays events will begin with a dinner sponsored by Lou Malnatis Pizza at the Bohemian Club, 624 Taylor Street, San Francisco, California. The Bohemian Club has a long history with this country. Founded in 1872 from a regular meeting of journalists, artists and musicians, it soon began to accept businessmen and entrepreneurs as permanent members, as well as offering temporary membership to university presidents and military commanders who were serving in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, the club has a diverse membership of many local and global leaders, ranging from artists and musicians to businessmen.
Friday nights entertainment will be provided by the band, Tri and the Lateralists, local musicians from San Francisco.
After Friday nights events, we have some big plans. We will be bording tour busses and taking a short drive to the beautiful redwood forest North of San Francisco, in Marin County near Taylorville. The campground, Bohemian Grove is a 2,700-acre (1,100 ha) campground located at 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California. Meals will be provided the rest of the weekend by Build a Burger Pub. We have some other exciting announcements including special guest speakers, contests, and fun. There may even be a FReeper haarp band playing some fun tunes.
We hope you make plans to join us for this illuminating weekend. In the next few weeks well provide more information on registration, hotels, and flights.
Not interested in this 'tree hugging' tour but I'm sure fools are. Good job!
I hear they got Nancy Pelosi, the pig man Waxman, and Feinstein as guest speakers.
Send them to your ‘friends’ who suffer from PDS, also.
You think I'm Pretty Darn Studly?
That's kind. I'm sure you're cute too.
If traveling through Monte Rio again, I'll try to remember to stop here
and hoist a few for Lou Malnati's pizza, and this forum's Admin Moderator...just saying. <*8^)
There is a bar in Monte Rio that serves pizza... It might be the other bar(?), I can't remember, but do recall it wasn't all that great, though I've had worse.
You are the exact opposite of Todd, the #1 Dude.
Which place has the meatballs? You know, the ones Savage likes.
What's that you said?.. Meat & Greet? Ohhhhh I luuuv it!
Since he doesn’t go to bath houses in CA, you wouldn’t know him.
I’m sure he’s glad that you are hot for him, whoever he is.
Hey, you spelled San Fagsisco wrong.
You speak/think like a liberal - saying things that are never said. The media trained you well.
This could be even better than the Free Republic performance art spectacular at Burning Man last year.
Is it true that Nancy Pelosi has accepted an invitation to speak to the Freepers?
Tri and the Lateralists? haha!
You speak/think like a bonehead, making things up that are pure fantasy.
But you do have redeeming entertainment value.
Jim had the whole mod squad on his bus.
The Religion Mod brought the official Viking Kitty car.
I’m very excited. I plan on going. Especially since I learned Mr. Zatam Azal will be the keynote speaker.
Hmmmm? Build-A-Burger??? Tri and the Lateralists???? San Francisco, fer Crissake?????? Gimme a break!!! Fresno sounds like a better deal.
