And let’s see if anything has been learned since the Fort Hood terrorism incident.

A shooting at Fort Knox in Kentucky has the entire Army post on lockdown.

Those fun-loving, peaceful, islamic brothers of 0dumb0sh_t just letting off a little workplace frustration.

Not like the terrorist whiteys who want to cling to religion and guns! These are the ones that 0dumb0 wants to eradicate.

unpossible! Ft Knox (all DOD installations) requires that all weapons be registered, even if you are only using the shotgun on post for 1 weekend of hunting. Therefore, this could never happen.

You can’t call it “Workplace violence” either..because according to the AP, thats insulting to people who don’t have jobs..if the shooter turns out to be one of Obama’s arab brothers..just call him “Brown dude pissed off at the world violence”

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Ft. Knox spokesman says the post lifted its lockdown just after 7 p.m., in the midst of a shooting investigation on post.

There was no word on casualties as of 7:25 p.m.; however, the shooting took place late Wednesday afternoon in the vicinity of Human Resources Command, which employs roughly 3,800 people.

Inbound traffic to Ft. Knox should expect delays at the entry gates because of heightened security. Stay with WDRB News. We’ll bring you more information as this story develops.

I was stationed at Knox from ‘85-’89, and did training there post-9/11.

The post itself is small, but the land and training areas cover parts of Bullitt, Hardin, and Meade counties.

Had a family member stationed there. You will NEVER hear any real news coming out of Ft Knox, no matter what. The Army keeps a lockdown on information too.

Back during its heyday, Fort Knox was the third largest city in Kentucky. I lived on post from 1959-1967 in Pritchard Place. Right across the street from the Gold Vault. Even remember some of the filming of Goldfinger. Then in 1967 it was my turn to wear the green fatigues. Many good memories. Taho, Tobacco Leaf Lake, Fort Knox High School, and Ireland Army Hospital. Won’t say why I remember the hospital. And, of course, basic training.

Memories here, too. Yano and Mendick Ranges, Otter Creek Park, the Museum.

Fort Knox has its own hospital (Ireland Army Community Hospital) and Hardin County has a small hospital. Louisville is approx. 45 minutes away, so I wouldn’t expect them to be involved right away unless there’s a mass casualty situation.
