“..Specter would oppose them once on a while, if only out of sheer orneriness. He would never tale dictation from Schumer.”

So true.

And even though I didn’t like Specter, he did a wonderful thing by getting Alito on the SCOTUS.

.....”I’m certainly leaving the door open for that,” Santorum revealed”....

Someone needs to slam that door shut real quick! Cringing to even imagine he'd even be in the position to throw the race as before.

.....” something about Santorum that comes across as unlikeable & whiny, even “weaselly”. ......

That’s because HE IS unlikeable, whiny and a weasel. Like putting liptstick on a pig...it’s still a pig.

Yep, that massive, humiliating, history making defeat that he suffered when he was kicked out of his Senate seat, says it all.

Two terms as an oily and insincere Senator, and his people threw him out with an incredible 17.4% landslide, yet some freaks think that makes him the guy to beat in presidential politics.

Santorum can't win anything, but he can hurt conservatives, the people that he used to mock during the Reagan years when he called the Reagan supporters the "right-wing fringe" and "shunned" them.

I eventually supported Santorum last year and he’s got the socon cred that my candidate for President must have if he or she is to earn my vote. Romney did not have that cred and that was the bridge too far for me.

But Santorum is yesterday’s news.

If the Republican Party is to earn my vote back, I’ll wait for Ted Cruz (and don’t even start the eligibility stuff) or Scott Walker.

I don’t care for Rand’s Libertarian streak or amnesty pimping, and Rubio just neutered himself with me over amnesty too.

...”he can hurt conservatives,”.....

..And he did so in this last election as well....how people can continue to support even the idea of him running is appalling. Apparently they have pulled their blinders on after this last election revealed what he is about....itchy ears still in their playbook. Santorum is simply a man at the mercy of the ‘Republican Machine’ and has been since he began. Whatever they want, to secure his own selfish ambitions, is what he will do..he's a yes man all the way.

You know you can spell things out clearly to people, you can even show them supportive Facts and yet their pride refuses to let them see the truth.

" Who was YOUR candidate in 2012, and did he finally endorse Romney as well? "

It's funny how inconvenient facts works against them.

You need to ask them in whom did their guy endorse in 2008, did their guy endorse John McCain ?
It's funny how they bash Rick Santorum for endorsing Mitt Romney in 2008, but who did their guy endorse ?
The 2 top contenders in 2008, John McCain and Mitt Romney.

Yup.

But the “prove a negative” people conveniently forget things like that.

I have no problem with people having a favorite candidate that’s different from mine. But when they dig up nothing from nothing, cherry pick, or exaggerate, I have no respect for their opinions.

Let’s hope people don’t make up lies, or twist the truth, about candidates for the next presidential election, because that kind of strategy will give us another “Romney or McCain” as our candidate.

Some people are so blind, and silly.
