Montana Governor Lies About the Constitution, Vetoes 2nd Amendment Protection Bill

Here’s a surprise for you; some Governors have absolutely zero understanding of the Constitution. None, whatsoever. Montana Governor Steve Bullock seems to fit that description quite nicely.

Yesterday, he vetoed Montana House Bill 302 (HB302). The bill would require the state to refuse to enforce or assist the enforcement of any federal bans on semiautomatic weapons or large capacity magazines. The bill states, in part:

A peace officer, state employee, or employee of any political subdivision is prohibited from enforcing, assisting in the enforcement of, or otherwise cooperating in the enforcement of a federal ban on semiautomatic weapons or large magazines and is also prohibited from participating in any federal enforcement action implementing a federal ban on semiautomatic weapons or large magazines.

Here’s why Bullock is clueless about the Constitution. In his veto message he wrote that the bill would put “law enforcement in the position of violating laws they have sworn to uphold” and “subject our peace officers to criminal sanctions for upholding the oath we ask that they take.”

Here’s a message for you, Steve. You’re a liar, and we know it.

"Progressives" see the Constitution as an obstacle to be overcome, rather than as a limitation on Government.

They do not believe in limited government.

Montana has been “Californicated” as has happened to Colorado.

There is but one solution.

Western states falling to this BS? That's similar to a warped version of Uncle Tom's Cabin where Eliza escapes across the icy Ohio River only to find that Ohio had become a slave state too.

The nature of his guilt is not ignorance of the Constitution:

From Wiki

"Steve Bullock (born April 11, 1966) is the 24th Governor of Montana, in office since January 2013. An attorney by profession, and a Democrat, Bullock previously served as the 23rd Attorney General of Montana from 2009 to 2013."

Leftists are a cancer that spreads from both coasts toward the middle of the country. They should be opposed and shunned and held up to ridicule at every opportunity.

We helped our son move out to Montana in January. He found a good job out there that he really likes. The problem they have out there is there are too many people that are living off government handouts. When people don’t have to work for what they have they have no appreciation for it. Those are the low information voters that create this kind of political scenario.

The Weak and Unacceptable Underbelly of S649

By Nancy Thorner and Ed Ingold -

President Obama is deliberately ignoring a solution in favor of a long-time “progressive” goal of disarming Americans. Blaming violence on a particular segment of society or region doesn’t lend itself to solutions. Not withstanding, and especially since Newtown, there has been a blizzard of propaganda against the NRA and its supporters in Congress which seem perfectly legitimate to anti-gun advocates. It is always easier to blame an organization with an easily recognized set of initials than the millions of its members and tens of millions of supporters who write their representatives in Congress in support of their Constitutional rights.

Accordingly, in the aftermath of Newtown, S649 (Safe Communities, Safe Schools Act of 2013) was fashioned. A “motion to proceed” (which in reality is a policy vote) could be brought to the floor of the Senate during the week of April 8th. Not only would S649 undermine America’s constitutional eights, but it would have done little to prevent the horrific massacre of Newtown, Connecticut. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/s649/text?utm_campaign=govtrack_email_update&utm_source=govtrack/email_update&utm_medium=email

I grew up with Steve. Two truths about Steve. Ever since we were kids everyone knew (and Steve made it clear to us all) his goal in life was to be the Governor of Montana. Aspirational Career Politician anyone? Steve has never aspired to anything else or nor has he ever run or managed a business. He has been running for office (successfully) his whole life since the first opportunity.

Second Steve has always been a liberal even since Jr. High. He was a straight A student but always a go along to get along and that meant go along to get along with the most ignorant, naive, followers (His voters). Steve always has been and always will be a people pleasing liberal. He doesn't know anything different.

Sadly Montana is too naive and gullible to have foreseen the motives of this man when he ran to for office. Montana is toast unless the conservatives fight back hard, hard, hard and push this guy out of office next election cycle.

Montana is I think ...next to South Dakota...the largest Indian state in the lower 48

I think really New Mexico may be but there I can hardly tell some who call themselves Indian or Mexican from one another frequently

and Indians as a rule...vote like black folks Studi and Yeager excepted

and Montana has Union I think...mining

and now green libtards from more urban areas are moving in like they did Colorado

it will be hard to push back

A professional parasite and proud of it.

I'll chip in $1 to pay for a one-way ticket to North Korea for the vermin.

The bill passed 28-21, so I don’t think the votes are there to override.

lots of folks from calif and Washington are moving to Montana and Idaho to get away from all that is.
Problem is they bring with them their crappola ideas and drive up the cost of housing and land.
Originals none too happy to receive their sorry asses as their kids cannot afford anything now.
