North Korea 'moves missiles' closer to target

Update: 1:49PM NORTH Korea has reportedly been seen moving a long-range missile in to position for launch.

South Korean Yonhap news agency reports that North Korea's new KN08 Musudan missile has been spotted in the process of being transported towards the Sea of Japan.

The KN08 Musudan is still under-development and it is unclear if it has the range to reach the United States mainland. Previous assessments have given it a range of 4000km - potentially enough range to reach Guam.

Opting for the quickest surrender in history??

The trick is to eliminate the Kims, who have been worshiped for 60 years, and then successfully surrender to the South Koreans before the Chinese pour over the border (again).

The problem is the Kims have killed everyone who might have seen someone that was related to someone that once thought about killing them. They're just a hair twitchy.

The Army is probably pushing fatso to see how far he’ll go, then reel him back when they’re satisfied he’s their bitch.

Poor Kim Jong-Un. He’s so ronery. Maybe we can re-unite him with Bin Laden.

Kim doesn't realize that his army may not be as stupid as he is...and they are under his control ONLY because that's the only job in town and the only people with food.

"Food, death or surrender."

This is all about extortion and getting the West to negotiate and provide more aid. Remember Albright's visit to the DPRK? Lots of bluster. We caved and gave food aid among other things.

The only way North Korea does anything stupid is if there is some real domestic threat to the leadership. The probability that the DPRK will launch a major attack is virtually nil.

We don’t have the capability of taking out all their missiles and artillery in less than a month.

We couldn’t do it in Iraq and they had fewer targets. They also didn’t have China right next door.

Like I said it's a hell of a thing to be wrong about.

lil’ kim may just feel his back is against the wall and he has no way to go and nothing to lose. To a man like him losing the spot as Dictator/God for life, he rather be dead. As as someone else pointed out in this thread the Kim's have been ruthless and get rid of an opposition down to the the guy's neighbor's brother-in-law. Kim is the kind of person that this quote from the movie 'The Dark Knight' is about: Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn... Especially if they can get into the history books as the one that started the fire.

They aren’t stupid, they know he is the only way THEY stay in power and that their family members would like sell them out if they even think about straying.

This is a place where children turn their parents and siblings in for not bowing to the picture of Kim thats in their home.

“Would be nice to take out the missile with a hellfire from a drone.”

If the US is going to strike, it needs to be all in. Put the country on a war footing. Call up the reserves. Position every asset. Get the logistics for a long war rolling. If Obama wanted to play poker that’s how to do it. But a boutique strike or a diplomatic note will just cause more deaths. If we play this wrong we could have 30,000 US casualties and the South could be on its back and ready to surrender.
