KRAUTHAMMER: The president is out there; it’s rather puzzling. He’s tilting at windmills and he will lose. The windmill is going to win on this one. He is not going to get anything of importance. He might eke out a weak compromise on background checks. But you have to ask yourself why is he doing this? You hear Pfeiffer implying that we’re going to blame the Republicans if this doesn't pass, as if that will be political success for them. Yes, the national polls show a shift, at least a temporary shift, after Newtown.
But that’s not where elections are won or lost. They are won in the states and the districts. And the fact that there are so many senate democrats that are scared to vote on this, that don’t want to see it come on the floor. That’s why Harry Reid is so insistent in trying to protect them. It tells you that in the states that matter: the swing states and red states where they prevailed, they are afraid they are going to lose. So it’s a political loser. I don't understand, other than to credit Obama for rare sincerity, this is something that he believes in after Newtown.

Hard to believe Krauthammer is so clueless on this. It is as Rush says. The "elite" want to fit Obama into their standard boxes. They are not willing to admit that he is an ideologue.
He is an ideologue, and a malignant narcissist too. He simply does not care what happens to others, as long as he gets his way.
Given the chance, he would exile all the Republicans to Alaskan work camps above the Arctic circle. Those in his own party who did not toe the line would be shot.
The commie piggies found a way to “pass” ObamaCare. They’ll find a way to pass their first in a series of camel’s nose “gun control” bills. Chipping away at the Bill of Rights. It’s what communists do.

To date, every prediction that zero is “going to lose” has turned out to be wrong. Don’t really understand why we can’t get rid of him, but something is keeping him in the WH and helping him continue his destruction of America.
Obama’s solution did not fit the problem. The problem is gun crime. Put the criminals in jail. Don’t attack the law abiding.
Obama’s got his. He’s not worried about anyone else. He doesn’t care about the unborn or the accidentally born. He doesn’t care about 20 kids at Newtown. He doesn’t care about Benghazi. He doesn’t care about F & F. Charles need to look up the word narcissist.
In defense of everyone who thought Obama was going to lose - well so did I. The election was stolen. Bussing in illegal voters, computers that switched Romney to Obama - I’ve heard of this multiple times - how many times did people not notice - and of course the votes bought with the money produced by Romney voters? So many different ways to steal an election - this is one thing the rats are good at.
Just to defend Krauthammer as not clueless, he does state in this article “That’s why for an hour I am putting aside my cynicism and crediting him either with sincerity or, if you like, the grandiosity of a second term president who thinks he is omnipotent.” Krauthammer is, in essence, accurately calling the Marxist a narcissist.

Thank you-Krauthammer is a psychiatrist-he doesn’t just play one on TV-he knows very well how to call someone a narcissist without saying the word, and as you say, he has referred to Obama as being one several times.
It is pretty obvious that “something” is the MSM. If we had anything like an honest main stream media, Obama never would have got the nomination, and he certainly never would have been reelected.
If a Republican had committed one tenth the crimes of this administration, they would have been impeached long ago.
The MSM is the problem.
K is on to something when he credits Obama with King of the Hill syndrome after his re-election. But there is more to it. The Obamabots believe the polls and think that by running this campaign and losing they can use the gun control issue to try to regain the House next year. All Barry is about for the next year is trying to regain the House by blaming Republicans for all the nation’s ills so he can finish ramming through his hard left agenda.
