Well, Kim was having internal problems controlling the military back in December...so his answer is give them a war? ..Play big tough guy?...

There are many issues why the leadership is doing this....but ‘planting season is coming up’, and Kim’s military do that work along with others...so whatever happens needs to be before he has to put his military in the fields......no food for the army...they retaliate..which may be the case as well.

“China pre-emptively attacks North Korea before NK can do anything and before the US can do anything. China works with S. Korea to unify and support transition N.K. to an indenpendent Korean state. The World claps their hands at China. China and Korea become allies. Unified Korea looks at US and commands us to get our troops out of S. Korea since they decide we are worthless.” Perfect! and don’t forget to turn out the lights on the way out.

“Taiwan observes the US weakness in this situation and decides that the US is not the long term solution either. They decide to join Mainland China...” Ditto. This would also be the perfect time for the US to wash our hands of all the global BS, and start taking care of our OWN affairs in the homeland. All this will require a Clean House, if you catch my drift, and beefing up our military and defense systems.

Those NORK honchos have some cool hats.
I’m surprised Dennis Rodman hasn’t set up a franchise to sell them.

......”what will we do when the 24,000,000 souls, having been trapped in a concentration for 50 years, start rushing southward in search of a decent meal”......

There is a containment plan for this....but likely the sadists in charge will just start spraying the people there with bullits....not so sure the people will run anywhere...fear rules more than just heavy there.... They do nothing without permission..ever. It’s a lifestyle they are born and raised in after generations born and raised within the confines of the gulogs..they know no different.

The 28,000 US troops in Korea would be casualties within the first 48 hours of an all-out North Korean attack on South Korea

Does anyone know how many American military dependents are in SK?

But I DO think we might create an opening for the high office!

Obama promised NEVER to use nukes.

With today's advanced aiming techniques; there is really not much use for them, except to destroy large parts of a nations population.

Ask West Germany. They managed to absorb and re-educate those from the East when the wall came down.

If war comes look to see 50 million Mexicans rushing back to old Mexico out of fear of radiation and the draft—a lot of lefties will be heading to Sweden, Canada, Mexico and points south to keep from being drafted. MSNBC will have no hosts for their shows. Look to see Obama take permanent control and a one party state emerge.

Well I would hope that is the thinking in the pentagon. You don’t let foreign country’s brutally attack Americans on American soil without staging a massive retaliation.

Congress should get together and issue an deceleration of war against North Korea then order the president to remove Pyongyang & its leader Kim Jong-il from the face of the earth.

I hope the Obama administration is at least finally starting to figure out that they can’t trust North Korea to keep any agreement.

This makes no sense. If the baloon goes up with NK, then the regime should/would be either droned or bunker busted to the point that a new regime would be intuitively obvious and required.

The time would be ripe, since the PRC has apparently cut them loose, thereby making remote the threat of a repeat of the last engagement with NK. But it won’t happen, imho. This is scripted posturing on both sides.

I thought of the same thing, but witness the experience of West Germany, and the hit that they took from absorbing East Germany.

Maybe take out the Kim Dynasty, Chinese administration while the North decompresses- with ROK aid and strict border controls.

Regime change? I thought we were not to interfere with other nations.

Also, where is the Assclown’s column, like the one he wrote after 9/11, asking America to look at WHY we are hated by those who attack us? Assclown was part of the “Blame America first” crowd after 9/11...so by extension, you KNOW he will be among that same crowd if the NORKS attack.

The U.S. would oust the communist regime in North Korea if it uses its nuclear weapons or launches an all-out invasion on South Korea and the 28,500 American troops stationed there, national security sources say.

Why doesn't the Nobel Peace Prize Kenyan Marxist Homosexual make a statement to that effect?

Maybe the great one works behind the scenes community organizing some homosexual Koreans for a Korean Spring?

We should be moving heavy forces to the region, including carrier battle groups, F-22’s to Japan, B-2/B-1/B-52’s to Guam and an additional 100,000 troops (some to Korea, others to Japan). We also should tell Russia and China that any interference on North Korea’s behalf would be cause to initiate a nuclear strike on their countries.

Also, we should be increasing our presence near Iran to deter them from getting too froggy.
