There’s an old AF saying “if it doesn’t move - paint it, if it moves, shot it and paint it”.
That’s why.
“at the dusk when the base flag is retired for the day.”
Usually about 2230hrs in the AF, iirc.
I could be wrong, but just seems that way. I’m sure some old army guy will come in and correct me.
Nice thought as a tribute to the fallen of all generations, but it’ll never happen.
