Judge Orders F.D.A. to Make Morning-After Pill Available Over the Counter for All Ages
NY TIMES ^ | 4/5/13 | Pam Belluck

A federal judge has ruled that the Unites States government must make the most common morning-after pill available over the counter for all ages, instead of requiring a prescription for girls 16 and under.

The decision, on a fraught and politically controversial subject, comes after a decade-long fight over who should have access to the pill and under what circumstances, and it counteracts an unprecedented move by the Obama administration's Health and Human Services secretary who in 2011 overruled a recommendation by the Food and Drug Administration to make the pill available for all ages without a prescription.

No, they’ve been trying for a long time to get abortion out of the clinics and into the pharmacy.

PP is not really about money. You don’t really grasp what animates them: hatred, hatred for life.

Their real purpose is libertine sex and they support anything that makes that more libertine. They don’t even care about the profits from surgical abortions (especially since they have the Gubmint gravy train behind them).

What they care about is making abortion easy and accessible. Put it into the pharmacy, remove the free-standing clinics as targets for pro-life protesters. It ends up with the same amount of abortions, if not more, but it removes the visible target.

They are driven by death not by money.

Is this judge willing to be held personally liable should a girl under 16 die from taking this pill because her parents didn't know?

No, of course he isn't.

The only impact this will have on him (in this life) is that it will make him a darling to the leftist cult of death.

Of course, it will have an entirely different impact in eternity.

They might still get some business. If it’s available OTC, then it’s something that has to be paid for with cash. If the girl can’t pay for it, then she still might turn to PP. But if an older predator is wanting to terminate a possible pregnancy to avoid all the grief it will cause, I can’t believe he would be so stupid that he wouldn’t give her the money for the pills. Predator boyfriends operate in the shadows and they want the sexual relationship to STAY THERE.

I went to Walgreens to buy a box of syringes to administer insulin to my basset, who has diabetes. They wouldn’t sell them to me. Even asking them to call my vet did no good. And they wouldn’t tell me why.

But this Plan ‘Bortion pill will be treated like free mints in the bowl at a chinese buffet?

I wonder what the judge would say if he were standing in line at the pharmacy and a 9 year old girl bought a morning after pill. Would it occur to him that perhaps CPS might be interested, or perhaps the police should be summoned?

He'd probably be proud he played a role in making this death pill available to her.

This pretty well sums it up. Makes you wonder, if and when Obamacare is implemented in its intended single payer system, if there won't be a system that identifies - first and foremost - your political affiliation. It will most likely be the building block from which all medical decisions concerning your care, will be built upon!

It is unlikely that the judge is a physician. Sadly however there are many physicians who would agree to this ( ask me how I know)

The left believes that sex should be consequence free, it is a lie that they sell with big profit margins. Human sexual intercourse was designed by God to produce children. Anything else is a perversion that has multiple serious consequences that cannot be wished away even by judicial fiat.

Gee,,are we now one step closer to our children being forced to take these, since they are going to be so readily available? Isn’t Planned Parenthood going to be ticked off? This may greatly decrease their business.

Planned Parenthood, Baby Butcher of the Country, will be upset at losing its main revenue stream if teenagers can just swallow a pill to kill their babies.

I experience that Sudafed ban a lot...as it is the only thing that works on my allergies that does not knock me out...a real problem if you work late nights

Unfortunately GW Bush admin was the one who pushed the Sudafed ban....now the rednecks cooking meth get their Sudafed from Communist China... until the Mexican Drug Cartels take them out of business.

The morning after pill needs to be prescrition only as it is a major health risk in immature hands. Sudafed bans only help Mexican Drug Cartels

Judge Korman ordered the F.D.A. to lift any age and sale restrictions on the pill, Plan B One-Step, and its generic versions, within 30 days.

This man needs to be placed under investigation for the possibility of having sex with underage girls.

morning-after pill available over the counter for all ages

......To protect the child molesters.

I wondered how the left was going to get away with "normalizing" pedophilia. Now I know.

The Judge should have the courage of his convictions and direct the F.D.A. to order all prescription drugs be made available OTC.
