I just realized: this is his Valley Forge moment!
Yep. A lot of people trying to pooh-pooh it, but I would point out that a lot of gunshot fatalities are from "unloaded" weapons that get treated carelessly because they "pose no threat". Kim may not be able to devastate the world but he might light the fuse that does the job.
They were never intended to do their stated business purpose.
They were reimbursements to campaign donors.
How is Nobama blundering in a strategic manner?
First, the NKorean’s do have submarines capable of deploying their missles.
Second and probably more realistic, it is time for their annual “stick your hand out” negotiations to get some relief from the U.S. (Seems I recently read something about that senerio being done on an annual basis. Anyone care to add something about that?)........
Maybe they can get Hillary of the campaign trail long enough to send over a snuke.
Long ago, when EMPs became a real threat, we should have embarked on a progrm of systematic decentralization of our power grid. Which the few smart people have been saying for along time.
IMO, DC has orchestrated the centralization of the grid deliberately so that it can be used as a weapon in the event of massive civil disturbance or rebellion. The people resist tyranny and, boom, down goes the power for 1/3 of the country. Everyone talks tough about standing up to the feds, but what happens when there is no power in multiple states?
The map I saw was all in English so I figured they got it from AAA in preparation for an upcoming road trip.......
We sure fumbled that window of opportunity. Could have forged an alliance against islamofascism, but the NWO pukes need islam to seal global fascism into place.
It is a shame the Cold War ended and we still have an enemy in Russia.
The only people pushing that meme are Soros and his useful idiots, Hillary Clinton and the commies in our State Department’s asymmetrical warfare unit. A few Trotskyite professors are also involved.
They dont have a bomb and the two they tested....well....they bombed, or fizzled. Whatever.
Then why has the E-6 been deployed? Seems they consider an EMP attack by N. Korea to be a real possibility.

Does it not seem odd all these actions against a rogue nation and we know less about their abiity than when we invaded Iraq because of WMDs?
In fact, isn’t it odd that if we believe they don’t have capability...we’re escalating this stuff?
Where is all the screaming and yelling about ‘proof’ of nuclear weapons? Where is all the high intensity UN talks?
None of this appears to be what it should be, no? Why is America seeming to run full steam ahead into this mess...without any allies?
PING to Tigerlikesrooster, americanintokyo.
Or is the administration using the saber rattling to 'create another crisis?'
I am getting less and less convinced the problem here is 0bama and his political gamesmanship...than any real threat. One must keep in mind how quickly and deftly the regime has in the past attempted to use crisis after crisis to move their agenda forward.
What is in play here with this crisis? Why the Universal Draft that has been proposed several times since 0bama took office.
The Japanese got the idea from the Brits—who used an attack by aircraft—with special torpedoes, to sink Mussolini’s navy at Terranto, Italy. Got three battleships and they had only 12 planes—bi-planes too. Japanese figured—a lot more planes could do a lot more damage—and it worked.

For what it’s worth, I agree with you.
That said I’m not in the military nor intelligence so my opinion means absolutely zero.
But seriously. This only seems likely to get worse.
The device the NorKs put into orbit likely does not contain a warhead, but we are not 100% sure. NorK technology could not, presently, create a 25 pound warhead.
There are some in the intelligence community who think that this might be part of a much larger attack on the west. Pakistan does have the capability to create small warheads and it is possible that the NorKs have one. The theory is that no one will take the threat from NK seriously and then, boom, the EMP hits the US. At the same time China launches an attack on Taiwan, Pakistan attacks India, several Middle Eastern states attack Israel, and North Korea invades South Korea. The US, dealing with it’s own problems, has no substantial military response. In a matter of days Israel is overrun, India is subjugated to Pakistan, Taiwan is under Chinese control, and North Korea controls the peninsula.
There are some who think the “Arab Spring” series of events was a destabilization effort by the WEST to delay this attack.
There are many signs pointing towards a gradual preparedness on the part of these states that may indicate that such a comprehensive attack is imminent. Pakistan has been increasing it’s presence on the India border. Several Middle Eastern states, most notably Egypt, have been ratcheting up their rhetoric towards Israel and mobilizing their troops. What better way to unify a divided populous than a war against a common enemy?
The attack that is coming is going to make Pearl Harbor and 9/11 look tame. We will be out of the picture. On a side note, I do think it is interesting that the Book of Revelation makes no mention of a nation like the United States involved in the final conflict. What if it is an EMP that puts us on the sidelines?
Any number of scenarios could play out. such as just a bluff to get more goodies like Dad and Grand Dad did (but he has to ramp it up because he is new, young, and facing off against a new South Korean (FEMALE!) president at that), to really launching something nasty and unannounced against Seoul or Tokyo, to trying to attack the US with an ICBM (difficult), EMP, or domestic terrorist with dirty bombs smuggled into the US and through elements of traitors on US soil from within the ranks of South Korean-Americans. My guess is a low level provocation such as shelling of one of the South’s outer islands near the Northern Line Limit, or a skirmish along the DMZ, but it is extremely risky. It might depend on what mood the kid is in, or if he had been sauced the night before or not. Hard to say. Good intelligence is hard to come by ferretted out from the DPRK. Or, he could on the other hand, go too far—in the assessment of the North Korean Council of Elders—and be assassinated, “traffic accident”, that kind of thing, in a raw power grab between DPRK elements who do not think he is a capable leader. Could be a fight between the KWP and the KPA in Pyongyang, or even between Generals, family members and what not. I say, watch what he commands his own populace to do, because he knows if he tries something provocative he is going to get a terrible bloody nose from the US in the form of utter destruction of Pyongyang. Of course, he could just go deep to ground in one of his bunkers carrying nothing about his civilian population (which our BLU-113 or GBU series bunker busters might get), what I am saying is nobody, not even the sharpest North Korean Specialist minds I think can say 100% for sure what is going on and what is in their minds up there, so nearly every possible scenario must be exhaustively and comprehensively war gamed out by our side and our allies in the region, mapped out in great detail, and constant readiness and training for total forward attack (defensive and offensive) if necessary. Needless to say all available intel capabilities need to be called into theatre and in place, and close communication and sharing of details with Seoul and Tokyo. We should also be spying very closely on Chinese intelligence, listening in, obtaining their own reports and assessments, and watching their own troop movements. That will also be bellweather and indicative. My biggest, repeat, my biggest regret over this whole developing situation is who is currently sitting in our White House. That is the great travesty and danger of the hour.
Did they “deploy”it or was part of the planned spring games anyway.
Best get ye to Texas, where the federales can't play that game.
Somebody correct me if I’m misunderstanding. In December North Korea put a 250-pound super EMP into orbit which can be activated by their satellite at any time and hit anywhere on earth, including the US through a hole in our south-facing radar defense.
That’s what I get from the combination of this article and this guy’s editorial yesterday, at http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/detail/understanding-north-korea-and-iran?f=must_reads#ixzz2MBnGqAqR Am I misunderstanding something?
Do we have the capability of taking out North Korea’s satellite? And what are either China or Russia likely to do if we did so?
Don't believe everything you read on the Internuts.
Intelligence knows with 100% certainty whether or not the satellite contains nuclear material, via sensors on other satellites.
Did you look at the articles I cited, and comprehend who wrote them?
He is author of Apocalypse Unknown: The Struggle To Protect America From An Electromagnetic Pulse Catastrophe available through CreateSpace.com or Amazon.com.
People who I trust on the subject would not be cleared to publish externally.
This guy has already published books. He also was on Clinton’s North Korea Commission and talks about what other advisories have testified before Congress. Do you think all of that means nothing?
Cynicism is just as deadly as “the boy who cried wolf”. As long as we assume that anybody who gives dire warnings is acting for mere financial or political purposes, we are conditioned to ignore our alarm clock and sleep through whatever warning we get.
Even if nothing else was true, that would put the US in a very dangerous place. We have nobody that we will actually believe. That makes us sitting ducks. The crooks don’t have to disable our alarms; we’re already prepared to cynically call them all “politics and money” grabs.
Know what I mean?
Where are you coming from? What is your area of expertise and/or career, if you don’t mind my asking?
Damn..... I was hoping for San Francisco and Berkley
I don't think that it would have to re-enter the atmosphere. EMP devices can be detonated at an altiude of 40 - 400 km. Low Earth Orbit range is 200 - 2,000 km with the lower range set by the rate of orbital decay. So you could have an on-station EMP device orbiting in the range of 200 to 400 km that would not require de-orbit or re-entry.
What, the North Koreans are going to attack Germany?
We probably won't unless they don't make a generous donation to the DNC or Hillary's Presidential Campaign Fund.
Disregard “don’t.” Should read “unless they make.”
It’s still a little low for what they’ve got orbiting, they’d have to alter the orbit to make it work. There were reports that what they sent up is tumbling, so they probably don’t have the control over it to execute any maneuver like that.
South Korea is an ally, we have troops there and technically still at war with the North.
Let me ask you something.
If you were Obama and trying everything within the limits of your presidential powers to destroy America and ran into a wall who would you call on to complete the job? One of your collectivist buddies like Li’l Kim and instigate him a bit.
He’s enough of a wildcard that the blame on the collapse of America could easily be laid upon him if he nuked us either with a direct blast on a city or an EMP detonation 100 miles above the CONUS.
Spinning or tumbling a satellite is one way to ensure its antennas have 360-degree coverage. And it also indicates it is only meant to receive transmissions.
Perhaps, but I don’t see any reason that this satellite would need 360 degree coverage, and it was specifically announced it was going to be broadcasting, while it was over the DPRK. So, I think it’s much more likely a sign that the thing isn’t stable, especially since this is their first successful orbit.
“warheads that are deployed on its Nodong medium-range missiles”
With a name like that no wonder Norkie missiles go kablooie on liftoff.
“It will leave traces of prutonium.
I trust you mean “Plutonium”.
U.S. Moves Towards War With North Korea - WW3 Watch
We’ll take what we can get.
If the sat is tumbling, it sounds like kimmie has No Dong.
