I believe it because the same thing happened in San Diego County years ago, when I lived there. An investigative reporter taped the bus going to the border every morning to pick up the kids and take them to school, then take them back to the border after school. It was a very big scandal. I moved away shortly after that, so I don’t know if the public outrage put an end to it there or not...hopefully, it did!

Near me the school bus actually crossed the border and went up and down the streets of the town in Mexico to pick up/drop off the children in Mexico that go to school here. Just a few years ago it was decided that there was too much liability risk to do that so now the children cross the border and catch the bus on this side. There was even an incident several years ago where a boy from Mexico somehow got a gun to the middle school and shot a girl, threatened the principal. There was an outcry then, but things haven’t changed.
