"We do not wish harm on foreigners in South Korea should there be a war,"
(Excerpt) Read more at reuters.com ...
Probably a little bit of psychological tactic.
Welcome to Free Republic.
This is getting “series”. :)
Iran opens new uranium mines and yellow cake facility to mark ‘National Nuclear Technology Day’ - state news agency reports via @Reuters
Impossible. Obama cooled the rhetoric, and canceled a missile test to appease the Norks. Oh, did I mention he received the Nobel Peace Prize?
I just farted DPRK’s way.....
It Wuhzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Long and Nowwwwwww I must chainz muh unduhwarez....
NK is breaking all the rules of warfare. You play nice right up to the point your tanks start rolling. I’ve said it before, but sense a diversionary tactic going on here. We’re busy looking at the silly monkey, while Iran is eerily quiet which is out of character.
Planning an artillery attack on Seoul, are they?
Meanwhile we have a community organizer as CIC.
Oy vey ...
South Korean kitchen scraps are gourmet items in North Korea....
Just one round from each gun could do a couple billion dollars in damage and kill thousands.
In World War One there were several occasions when an opening barrage from thousands of guns could be distinctly heard in London, which was 150 miles away from the Belgium battlefields.
Yeah, I’m just wondering if they’re stupid enough to do it.
Could be an interesting week.
Don’t want anyone hurt by the radioactive fallout drifting south from what was formerly Pyongyang?
Please pray for our 298,000 soldiers who are stationed in Korea. Please pray for the South Korean people who may be affected by this madman.
To push the South to make the first move?
Why is it I keep getting the feeling Obama and this little boy of a man are having long conversations over encrypted lines in deep secure locations?
I think they are and will cross the line, they are well past their emergency food reserves, if they do nothing they starve to death.
That, or to get more concessions from whomever would concede.
“South Korean kitchen scraps are gourmet items in North Korea....”
They don’t have a big dog problem either...
“Lil’ Kim is still rattling his saber.”
Before the last Korean war they had also rattled their saber for months.
At this point, they’ll have to detonate a nuke just to be taken seriously. They are about to run out of food so it’s very likely that war will break out soon.
Obama already said that he’ll never use nuclear weapons. The Norks think they can do anything they want.
>our 298,000 soldiers who are stationed in Korea.
That number seems high. I was thinking it was more like 30,000 or so.
The Happy Meals are hidden in the generals’ caps.
I meant to write 28,000. I’m sorry. I’m hyper-emotional about this: one of my sons is among the number.
“They are about to run out of food so its very likely that war will break out soon.”
They’re just preparing to defend North Korea from all the South Koreans trying to overrun the border so they can be part of yet another communist utopia...
“Yeah, Im just wondering if theyre stupid enough to do it. Could be an interesting week.”
Well, on the one hand, it would be stupid for the N. Koreans to start a war. On the other hand, should they start one, an artillery barrage is the best tactic. Reason; the N. Koreans lack the logistics wherewithal to play offense. So, they need to lure the S. Koreans into attacking them and thereby enabling them (N. Koreans) to play defense.
Seoul ( and region ) live traffic looks normal now.
This is exactly right. Iran is up to something.
he’s this well-fed, western educated chubby man-child surrounded by emaciated little generals wearing medals from imaginary battles.
It’s almost a bad movie..
Hey, Obama, your check still hasn't come in the mail. I'll give you some more time before I rattle my sword again.
Yawn. I can’t even take them seriously. Every day it’s something else. They like the attention they are getting from this, and they like trolling the world stage, but I don’t see them doing anything because they know they are finished if they do.
Yeah, my little brother is there as well and my best friend still has family in Seoul and he’s freaking out.

Except for the "chubby" part, you could be writing about The Obama...
I was wondering about when we’d start seeing “Pictures of Kim Looking At Stuff”, like his father used to do.
Zippy is in a bind.
On the one hand, he would love to prop up a communist regime while wasting American resources.
On the other hand, he wouldn't mind a nuclear attack on SK, Japan or the US, as long as it's not an attack against a golf course.
I keep repeating Psalm 91, over and over again. My other son is in Afghanistan.
That skit had my family crying with laughter, but that's the line that made it hard to breathe. Happy Fun Ball could have killed us all!
I think you got it right.
“Please pray for our 298,000 soldiers who are stationed in Korea. Please pray for the South Korean people who may be affected by this madman”
Please add to that the thousands of US citizens who are working in the South. I haven’t seen any State Dept. warnings yet.
Kim Jong Un and his ilk (to fortify their tenuous domestic situation and their dire need for Western assistance) are trying to give the Hershey Squirts to the South Koreans (won't work, they are a tough, hardy lot), and also scare visting or stationed civilian foreigners in South Korea (that is a different story, but I am sure South Korea will cool them down and convince them this is Paper Tiger Talk out of Pyongyang).
This little kid Jong Un is all brinksmanship and talk. He cannot back it up with action. He barks like a rabid dog. They have issued at least 6,000 such threats to annihilate Seoul in the last 50 years.
I would just issue a press release from US Forces Korea stating the following: "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is hereby advised to keep their civilian populations away from the Mausoleums of deceased Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, as they will be targeted and immediately destroyed by various assets in the region, without warning, should there be any military provocation by the North in terms of missile launches, troop incursions, shelling of South Korean territory, or underground nuclear tests, all which will be interpreted as an attack upon the Republic of Korea and therefore an attack upon the United States." (Name the coordinates of the Mausoleums as well as the huge Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il gold statues on Mansudae Hill in Pyongyang, and state these will also be completely destroyed.)
Nobody seems to be taking this seriously.
What if growing up in the protected bubble of his family’s cult of personality has rendered Kim Jong NumberUn incapable of critical thought?
I’ve not seen a lot of counter measures put into place “just in case” this fat little bastard thinks he’s as awesome as everyone has told him he was for his entire life.
The US will respond with a stern letter to the UN
