Impossible. Obama cooled the rhetoric, and canceled a missile test to appease the Norks. Oh, did I mention he received the Nobel Peace Prize?

NK is breaking all the rules of warfare. You play nice right up to the point your tanks start rolling. I’ve said it before, but sense a diversionary tactic going on here. We’re busy looking at the silly monkey, while Iran is eerily quiet which is out of character.

I read someplace the Norks have 30,000 artillery pieces pre-sited on Seoul.

Just one round from each gun could do a couple billion dollars in damage and kill thousands.

In World War One there were several occasions when an opening barrage from thousands of guns could be distinctly heard in London, which was 150 miles away from the Belgium battlefields.

“Lil’ Kim is still rattling his saber.”

Before the last Korean war they had also rattled their saber for months.

At this point, they’ll have to detonate a nuke just to be taken seriously. They are about to run out of food so it’s very likely that war will break out soon.

“Yeah, I’m just wondering if they’re stupid enough to do it. Could be an interesting week.”

Well, on the one hand, it would be stupid for the N. Koreans to start a war. On the other hand, should they start one, an artillery barrage is the best tactic. Reason; the N. Koreans lack the logistics wherewithal to play offense. So, they need to lure the S. Koreans into attacking them and thereby enabling them (N. Koreans) to play defense.

On the one hand, he would love to prop up a communist regime while wasting American resources.

Yes. Psy War. South Korean government admitted as much.

Kim Jong Un and his ilk (to fortify their tenuous domestic situation and their dire need for Western assistance) are trying to give the Hershey Squirts to the South Koreans (won't work, they are a tough, hardy lot), and also scare visting or stationed civilian foreigners in South Korea (that is a different story, but I am sure South Korea will cool them down and convince them this is Paper Tiger Talk out of Pyongyang).

This little kid Jong Un is all brinksmanship and talk. He cannot back it up with action. He barks like a rabid dog. They have issued at least 6,000 such threats to annihilate Seoul in the last 50 years.

I would just issue a press release from US Forces Korea stating the following: "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is hereby advised to keep their civilian populations away from the Mausoleums of deceased Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, as they will be targeted and immediately destroyed by various assets in the region, without warning, should there be any military provocation by the North in terms of missile launches, troop incursions, shelling of South Korean territory, or underground nuclear tests, all which will be interpreted as an attack upon the Republic of Korea and therefore an attack upon the United States." (Name the coordinates of the Mausoleums as well as the huge Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il gold statues on Mansudae Hill in Pyongyang, and state these will also be completely destroyed.)

Nobody seems to be taking this seriously.

What if growing up in the protected bubble of his family’s cult of personality has rendered Kim Jong NumberUn incapable of critical thought?

I’ve not seen a lot of counter measures put into place “just in case” this fat little bastard thinks he’s as awesome as everyone has told him he was for his entire life.
