Instead of going silent, how about saying the three magic words? “Get a warrant.”

If this story is true, we may be witnessing the start of Civil War 2.

Loaded contemporary ammunition, properly lubed and stored, should keep nicely for at least 60-70 years.

Might be simpler, in the waterproof box, to use scoopable kitty litter in paper bags in place of the Silica Gel that is sold out.*

*Which I had nothing to do with. I have an alibi. I never bought the stuff. Except for the five cats worth of litter I go through in this house.

I'm assuming they have one when they come to confiscate. Guess it does no good to conceal them and claim they fell off a boat, as others say that's a jailable offense. This is so wrong.

“The Freepers who rail against anti-anxiety medication are clearly in favor of this confiscation.”

Oh, now THIS will be interesting. Talk about a conundrum about which side to take. Someone start a pool! I’ll put $20 on the “Big-Pharma-In-Bed-With-Big-Brother” square.

Deprivation of rights under color of authority. No due process. A bill of attainder punishing legal users of prescription drugs by theft of personal property and abridgement of 2nd amendment rights. Punishment of the innocent by simple family relationship or common habitation. There are so many angles to attack this nonsense.

Note to self; in future, if possible, NEVER register any weapon and NEVER tell anyone you don’t absolutely trust that you possess one.

I remember a statement from the Cold War Era. To can safely keep a secret if one of them is dead.

I can also safely bet that in the not-so-distant future that Gun-runners are going to be doing a fantastic business. And I also bet that many of the wares are going to be full-auto. Think about it... If it is going to be a crime to own a gun then go full-auto, the penalties are the same.

In this particular case, there was no warrant.

Cataplexy - a type of seizure associated with narcolepsy - is completely controlled by very small doses (1 capsule every 3 days) of clomipramine - a tricyclic antidepressant.

The simple fact is that these drugs are often prescribed for conditions that have nothing to do with one's mental health!

Consider the political espionage and extortion we have opened the door to now that the police have access to your medical records.

Have you ever had an STD?

Have you ever been raped?

Has your wife/daughter ever been raped?

Do you have a disease that “may” have been acquired via IV drug use?

Has your son ever ended up in the emergency room after drinking?

Ever been treated for depression?

Are you thinking about running without a Democrat party endorsement?

(...you better think again.)

Just remember that the only way they can be sure and take all of someone’s guns is with universal registration. Otherwise, people could just hand them a couple of junkers and say that’s all of them. If universal registration were started now, firearms would quickly become part of one of two classes; those the government knows about, and those they don’t. The “undocumented” firearms would become very valuable.
