(CNN) – Republican leaders in Congress received a dire warning on Tuesday from former Vice President Dick Cheney on the ongoing crisis in North Korea.

“We’re in deep doo doo,” Cheney told lawmakers, according to a GOP leadership aide.

Cheney added the current North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, is unpredictable and doesn't share the United States worldview.

One lawmaker present at the session, Rep. Steve Southerland of Florida, said Cheney wore a cowboy hat and "looked really good, spoke really clearly, lucidly.”

Cheney makes some good points. We don't know what Kim Jong the Younger is motivated by. Could be inherited craziness, could be something else entirely.

Kim Jong Un, is unpredictable and doesn't share the United States worldview.

Huh.

He and Hussein have a lot in common.

Some good points, indeed.

But nothing new, nothing that intelligent people are not aware of.

And the former VP of the US could have thought of a slightly more intelligent and dignified statement.

We don’t need to give the aholes on the left any ammo to attack us with.

If Cheney said that...it is dignified!

Lord, how I miss him, and Rumsfeld and Bush.

Darth Vadar LIVES!!!

I’ve been listening to “Shotgun Joe Biden” for so long I forgot that a real VP is supposed to be aware of the dangers we face as a country.

Cheney talked about the North Korean leader, Southerland said, and shared some of his history dealing with Saddam Hussein, noting "you never know what they're thinking."

At least he is not claiming they had WMD.

Probably just a miscalculation. Hillary was the Secretary of State and solved all the problems around the world .... just ask the fawning MSM news crowd.

Knowing Cheney, I’m sure he was a little more creative in his language than ‘doo doo’. Other than that, spot on.

Actually, the REPUBLICANS should be SCREAMING about how defenseless this country is, thanks to the Democrats.

If I were Ted Cruz, I would say something like:
“If one North Korean missile hits one square inch of US soil, the blame, ALL OF IT, falls on the hands of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, both of whom have MADE A CAREER out of weakening our military.”

And then give SPECIFIC EXAMPLES of what they said and when they said it - and then tie-in the REST of the Democrats...and then go after their voting records on national defense. THEY ARE SITTING DUCKS on the issue - so let’s sock it to them.

Make them SWEAT for once. Yes, debates about national defense SHOULD end at our shores, but the Democrats have NEVER operated that way, and it’s high time we joined them in a “lively and spirited discussion”, to use a little State Department lingo.

When Repubs are in charge, they need to ACT... Cheney and Bush had a Repub Congress for years... Bush named North Korea in the Axis of Evil... yet, they allowed North Korea to obtain nukes. We can’t hope for anything now, but if we can get a Repub in the WH in 2016, I expect to see some real action here...

yet, they allowed North Korea to obtain nukes.

Look how people reacted almost immediately after Iraq, even the people that voted for it wouldn't stand behind their votes. There was no way they would have gotten approval for any other actions and they wouldn't have gone around congress to take dictatorial action like the current resident.

Saw Cheney on Greta show recently——he looks great. The new heart did him wonders... thanks to his donor.

"We don't know what Kim Jong the Younger is motivated by."

Basketball, send Jordan, James, Wade, Durrant, etc.. to play an exhibition along with Albright (Wearing a sexy Monokini) and several cases of Cristal (Albright's superior looks after multiple rounds of champagne toasts worked wonders with his father).

Have Oprah teach proper annunciation/punctuation of the letters R & L plus how to manipulate the lucrative syndication market. Next, teach Kim Jong about the lucrative hyper-emotional female market that exist as well. Tap that low information voter market and Kim could feed his people for decades on end.
