Sen. Mark Kirk says the real driving force behind the gun deal that was hatched by bipartisan work was booze and boat retreats.
The Illinois Republican said to reporters that visits to the Black Tie, a yacht owned by Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin, played a large role in the Democratic-Republican come-together over background checks and other legislation related to gun control, Roll Call reported.
“You guys really ought to go out to National Harbor and see the Black Tie, which has been much of the reason for much of the bipartisan cooperation around here,” he said, as quoted in Roll Call.
Frequent visitors to the luxury vessel: Democrat Sen. Kay Hagan and Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Mr. Kirk said.

That election was fixed by the Combine. Quinn to “win” the Governorship, the RINO fake Kirk to get the Senate seat.
I didn’t know Manchin could afford a yacht, and I bet the “poor” of WV don’t know that either, not that it ever matters of course.

No matter how corrupt, the American Republican voters don’t seem to understand. I think they have all thrown in the towel; American can’t be saved.

BTW, I've been an election judge in every election, and this week's April 2013 local election for township and village offices (suburban Cook Co. only, we don't vote for any city of Chicago offices) had a turnout that reflected the demographics of my local neighborhood -- about 70-80% white and 20-30% black, hispanic, and asian. Of course, when the SAME pct. voted in 2012 (with Obama on top of the ticket & the RATs needing to take back all the Congressional districts and get a veto proof majority in the both houses of the state legislature), and in 2010 (with Quinn on the top of the ticket, and combiner Kirk running for U.S. Senate), the turnout in my pct. was roughly 50% white and 50% black, with dozens of "new" voters showing up that I had never seen before in my life, listed in the voter rolls as "active" suburban voters and supposed local residents. Of course, we don't have to ask for ID if they're "active" voters. If those "new" voters were legit, I have a bridge to sell you.
The integrity of the ballot is a joke in Illinois, especially Crook County. Corpses and illegal aliens choose our Governors, Senators, and state legislators.
I ran for WV State Senator against Walter Helmick for the 15th District. He got more than $1,000,000 from the Miners Unions, the same source that helped Manchin get his post. Their star is now head of the AFL-CIO and ObamaFriend, Richard Trumka.
Nothing to see here. Move along. They know...

Rather they fixed it to be a win/win for them.
I voted for the pro-life Libertarian candidate (for Comptroller too against RINO Topinka, I will never vote for her again after he crap 2006 campaign against Blago), can’t say I’m regretting it. Those were my first third party votes.
Seriously, we need to introduce party discipline like they have in parliamentary systems, make important votes a “three line whip”, if you vote the wrong way, you are kicked out of the party.
unfortunately the left doesn’t give a damn abotu how our founding fathers felt any longer- the left view themselves as gods- above the law- and we the peopel fear them too much to do anythign about it any longer-
All the statesmen are gone we only have wrestlers now.
The downside to that enforcement of party voting is that it could bite small government Conservatives on the butt. I don’t want a rep that votes party line, I want a rep that votes the IDEOLOGICAL line.
The criticism of Congressman DesJarlais here in TN is that he wasn’t voting with leadership (partly why the RINO establishment wanted him out, and still do), but voting on ideology. One of his declared opponents for next year, State Sen. Jim Tracy, is more of a leadership guy and would like to move up that ladder. Even damaged, DesJarlais is probably the best voting member of the TN delegation.
Wasn’t the miners union involved in a murder about thirty years ago? It had to do with a rivalry between two people who were running for union president.
The Democrats are kicking out some of their old voters. Don’t they think that many Democrats have been gun owners all their lives? Let them keep showing their true colors.
We are finding out how deep the RINO layers go. I think it is not just in Washington but probably reaches into state governments and probably local governments as well. Why not, political parties are national therefore they bend their knees to the big boys in Washington. Next time I hear about *grassroots politics* I think I will puke. We have been deceived for a very long time, we have NOT had grassroots politics for many years. They only good thing about what is happening is that people are finally seeing the truth...the truth shall set you free.
Real grassroots politics presents a threat to the established government class. They react to it by one of two ways: they either destroy it (by whatever means) or they co-opt it. If Thomas Jefferson were alive today, he’d be agitating for another revolution. He’d be right.
